I totally agree with him. Gold farmers are ruining the market for massive online games. They are taking away from the whole experience of what was intended, and not to mention, basically selling, an unfair advantage. I've been playing for only a week now and I have over 20 people on ignore already, all of witch are people trying to sell me gold.
It's just sad that the first thing we think about when we see that blue text come up is /ignore
Mark Jacobs Banishes Gold Farmers
Mark Jacobs so eloquently tells the gold farmers to "go to hell" when confronted by them. Here is his stance on the issue:
“I HATE GOLD SELLERS WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING,” Jacobs wrote and this should leave no doubt as to how he feels about people who sell virtual gold for real cash. Gold farmers have been around ever since the days of Ultima Online and the business is quite profitable. These businesses often employ low-wage people who spend hours toiling for virtual loot to sell to other players. The gold farmers then turn around and sell the virtual gold for tens to hundreds of real dollars.
