I also downloaded the trailer from the PoP site, that one looked fine but had this terrible 80's style rock music or something. At this this one has a vaguely mideval sound with a modern beat :)

This looks fabulously cool, and can definitely see uber loot coming out too. Like the disks those robots guys were holding. Only problem is my itti bitti computer and characters will never get to see em.

Sorry, I usually don't flame anyone but c'mon now. If VI was rated around the world the way that you guys rate it, they would go out of business. But, it's like the child who wants everything and complains about what he has, but when you go to take it away from him he wants it back.

Back off guys! Choose one side or another, but don't come here Flame VI and then say I am still gonna buy it. Grow up. If you don't like it, fine. Great. Dandy. Post your suggestions for making it better. But, don't flame em and then say I am still gonna buy it though. Duh. Either you like it or you don't.

If you are going to flame saying you can do better, post it. We wanna see how you can single handedly put VI out of business with your UBER graphics SKLZ. Give me a break.

Do any of you morons even know what a TEASER trailer is?
Ok ok, of those morons that raised their hand to that question, how many of you know what kind of filesize space you're looking at when you create a video?

Lose too many of you out there? Ok, can't expect too many of you to know everything like so many of you try to make out by your ridiculous posts about "why can't VI this, why can't VI that.."

1) Teasers are just what they are named after.. TEASERS! ... They're NOT supposed to show you everything, they're not supposed to show you all the little ins and outs of the new product. They're supposed to give you just the slightest taste of what is to come, making you wish you had seen more. C'mon, don't tell me less than half of you didn't watch the Star Wars/Matrix2/Lord of the Ring/Spiderman/<insert other movie here> teasers where they gave you just a tad bit of the movie and you were left wishing you could watch it already. If all you wanna do is complain about what you get, say it sucks and it's the worst thing ever YET you'll STILL go out and buy it when it's available, STFU now and go return your PC from wherever you got it. When they ask you what the problem is, tell them you're too stupid to own a computer.

2) Video filesizes. If you've never made one before, yet you have the balls to complain about this one, go try making one yourself. I bet if you had made some videos yourself and tried to fit the restraints of filesize, you prolly wouldn't have posted what you did. SUUUURE they can make it longer and keep it near the same filesize, but the video will be smaller in size and REALLY look like crap. They can make the screen bigger and make the quality a lot better, but then they'd cut out the ability to download with slight ease for all the 56k modem users that subscribe to their game.

In the end, before you post comments about how something that you didn't help to create yet you still will buy into whatever they put out, just STFU now and save us all from having to scroll past your idiocy

I was able to actually play a bit of Planes of Power at Gen Con this year and it actually does look a lot better than the video. It is goind to have a lot of features that will make it worth while. I am personally still enjoying my play in the current incarnation of EverQuest but am looking forward to EverQuest 2 as the graphics are going to be ten times better and no longer having to support older systems in order to keep current subscribers. Just my 3sp 2cp worth.

Short, small trailer. 7.6 Meg of disk space for the file.

The graphics shown in it are game graphics not some happy crappy junk where artists do funky godlike effects to dazzel folks but that no one will ever see in the game.

You can tell it's there to just show folks what they will ACTUALLY see in the game and they kept it small enough so people can download it and pass it around... If it hit the 10 meg levels, some e-mail attachment filters will auto-block it but, by keeping it small, they let it be distributed.

IMHO -- smart and clean solution.

maybe if they made it a bit longer, say a minute or two more, with more new stuff, and made the graphics a little better, i wouldnt have dismissed it as the worst promo i've ever seen. This looks like a load of screenshots put into windows video maker

Don't you just love seeing a promotional video that many of the shots have the familiar and dreaded rain? And it was only 35 seconds of stuff. Most of it looking like amateurs did the recording and splicing. It almost turns you off.

Not bad, But with all the different Planes they prolly chose the one that would apeal to the "coolness" rather than the "typical" so at that I just have to say....... I think that the graphics will be much better in the actual PoP than in this...this.... Well watch it yourself. I can see where they are going, but... They really should have but more effort into the demo. Quality is a little low, but I bet actual expansion graphics will be like when we first saw Kunark. Everyone will be saying "Wow" when this hits... Mark my words.

they could have made it low quality and short because many (unfortunately) subscribers are still 56k. 6meg is still a long wait. but not as long they could have made it. Seems kinda lame tho to restrict a promotion so 56kers can see it.
