Campaign

This is the collective term given to the series of battles and border skirmishes waged in the Quon and Mindartian theaters during the Crystal War.

All those wishing to serve would enlist with one of the allied army's three main forces--the Kingdom of San d'Oria, the Republic of Bastok, or the Federation of Windurst--to combat the ever-advancing beastmen
confederate comprising the Quon Host of the Orcish Empire, the Quadav Shieldwarriors, the Yagudo Theomilitary, and the Shadowlord's Dark Kindred. However, a volunteer's duties were not always limited to direct engagement with the enemy. Campaign endeavors also extended to tasks such as marches, supply runs, entrenchment and fortification, and cooperative maneuvers with allied forces.

It would not be an exaggeration to say it was through a delicate balance of military prowess and comprehensive strategy that these campaigns were ultimately able to lead the allies to victory.

If those are Lady Bugs, what will a Lady Bug NM be called, a ********* Dominatick? (I know, Ladybugs =/= Ticks)

And yes, that's all they need to do, add the Hypnotoad. Give it AoE hypnotize and no alliance will be able to slay it.

But I'm surprised with that Futurama reference, no one mentioned the obvious one... brain-slugs! Slug NMs could launch a brain-slug onto a player, acting like a permanent status and displaying as a green blob throbbing on one side of the player's head. The player will lose Gil in block sums over time, paid as tribute money to the Brain Slug Planet (Futurama reference).

And at least we already have Dr Zoidberg (AKA the Soulflayer)

All we need are Were-Chocobos.

Those look pretty cool. Gnole looks mean, Ladybugs I'm assuming are going to fight kinda like beetles (and looks like whoever took the pic got a link XD)... and the slug... someone get some rock salt. (That also looks kinda like the way to the waterfall in North Gustaburg...)

Will we get to see Old Tavnazia?
# Oct 26 2007 at 12:11 AM Rating: Decent
Since the official storyline of the Crystal War marks the fall of the Tavnazian Marquisate at 863 C.E., and the war ending shortly thereafter, I'd really like to know if we'll ever get to see the nation as it was before the invasion. And not just see it in cutscenes, but to actually go there like Jeuno, Norg, AU/AZ, etc.

The new expansion looks to be set before the war's end, so I really see no reason why Tavnazia should be excluded... The Marquisate was at least as established as any of the starting nations, and was rather important at times to San d'Oria's history, especially during the Crystal War (purposely NOT giving spoilers for those that haven't done certain missions & quests).

I'm a real stickler for story related stuff, and Tavnazia holds a special place in my heart, so I'll be more than a little disappointed in S.E. if they won't let us go to the Tavnazian capital (not talking about the Safehold here) in the new expansion.

Also, Kisats, I love the work you and your crew in Essorance have done. Looking forward to more of it - Keep it up!

The Yagudo armies look so damn cool -- they've styled their feathers up into the shape of horns, and it works for 'em. Also, LADYBUGS!

Not even Squenix can resist the power of the HypnoToad.

The battles look slightly reminiscent of Garrison. I hope they are more like that rather than Besieged type fights. I can't imagine if we had to defend Aht Urgan, Bastok, Sandy, and Windy all at the same time. I like the smaller battlefields like assault. I hope we see more of that.

The bottom middle picture's link appears to be borked. You click on the picture with the bugs and it shows you an entirely different picture.
