Upper Deck Day Will Have WoW TCG, Minis Events

If you're a fan of Upper Deck games such as the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game and World of Warcraft Miniatures Game, then mark your calendars for Feb. 7 and 8. Locations throughout North America will be hosting Upper Deck Day that weekend, which will include numerous tournaments and demos.

While Upper Deck Day will have events for the Yu-Gi-Oh! and Huntik trading card games, as an Allakhazam reader you're probably most interested in the WoW games. According to the announcement, "All gamers are invited to enter the free World of Warcraft TCG beginners event and learn first hand what all the buzz is about. ... Players can earn booster packs and start building their own World of Warcraft TCG collection with their free Starter Decks. Door prizes will also be given out all weekend." You can check out demos of the WoW Miniatures game as well.

Upper Deck will be releasing locations for the event soon. More information can be found here or after the jump.

Win 'Phat Lewtz' at Wowhead

That's right! Thanks to Upper Deck, Wowhead is hosting an exclusive WoW TCG giveaway! Over the next couple of weeks you can expect to see our friends over at Wowhead run a number of contests giving away in-game loot. I won't spoil what all their giving away, but let's just say, this isn't a contest you want to miss.

How to Win

Just post your contest entry as a comment in the daily contest blog post. This time, the question is:

“What was the most epic loot drop you've ever gotten?”

It doesn't have to be an epic item – it could be an epic battle, it could be an item that comes after hours and hours of farming – as long as for you, it was epic.

At the end of each day, we will randomly select two entrants from the blog comments, and award them a loot card!

For more information about the contest, head on over to Wowhead !

World of Upper Deck

Growing up, I cut my teeth on interactive table top games like Hero's Quest and Dungeons and Dragons. I remember begging my younger brothers to try all the games so I would have someone to play with. As I got older I found it increasingly difficult to find anyone to join me. Eventually I discovered MMORPGs and, naturally, my gaming focus shifted gears.

Recently I was introduced to a new game that incorporates both my current infatuation with MMOs and my lifelong love for table top gaming. Who would do such a thing you ask? Someone you may know all too well if you grew up collecting baseball cards -- Upper Deck Entertainment. I sat down for a game of their new 'World of WarCraft: Miniatures Game' with Anna Maria Mannino from Upper Deck's marketing division.

Upper Deck is, once again, pushing the World of WarCraft franchise adding to their already popular Trading Card Game with this new offering.  In my opinion, they're onto something big! Expected to hit store shelves on November 11th this quality product is everything you would expect from a box that says Blizzard and Upper Deck!

Comic-Con Upper Deck WoW Mini's

Our very own Tovin is reporting from Comic Con in awesome San Diego, man I wish I was there, but since you and I are not, we can read all about it below!

Comic-Con came firmly into San Diego with a packed pre-show viewing yesterday for those who pre-paid 4 day registration, industry professionals, and press. I mentioned several times that the craziness on the floor, and the amount of people, were simply overwhelming. I was laughed at and told to wait until today to see anything worth complaining about. I laid in bed a long time this morning, afraid to get out there and see that!
