Runes of Magic Coming to Facebook and Browsers

Look out FarmVille! Another game will soon be making its way to Facebook, and it's one that should be familiar with many MMO players. Frogster announced today that it has teamed up with Kalydo to develop a version of Runes of Magic that can be played in a browser or Facebook without a client download. The launch is scheduled for the second quarter of 2011.

According to a press release, the initial focus of the partnership will be Facebook integration. Facebook users will be able to dive into the game without completing any additional registration procedures. The social networking version of Runes of Magic can be played in either full screen or windowed mode without limiting any of the game’s functionality. Check out the screenshot after the jump to see what it will be like to play the fantasy MMO through Facebook.

“This is the future of gaming. Players enter the game with a single click of the mouse instead of spending hours on a download and installation and get the exact same experience," said Kalydo CEO Doki Tops. Do you agree with him? Let us know in the comments below!
