Frogster to Unveil Eligium at Gamescom

Frogster just announced that it will be presenting the world premiere of its latest title, Eligium – The Chosen One, at Gamescom 2011 next month. Frogster has licensed the fantasy online RPG from Shanda Games for distribution in North America and Europe. The game is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2012. Here are the details:

"Eligium – The Chosen One will bring players face-to-face with hordes of demons returning to the surface from their centuries long exile underground, which are intent on spreading fear and terror among the surface-dwellers. It is now in the hands of the chosen one to reunite the five humanoid nations and stand up to the evil forces rising from the depths below. Eligium – The Chosen One boasts a large assortment of features including an atmospheric scenario, a vast number of gloomy dungeons with demanding boss battles and large scale raids, an ingenious PvP and ranking system, open world events, an unique item upgrade system, and mounts that players can train and watch as they grow – a whole world of opportunities and challenges for all kinds of discerning players."

In addition to the Eligium reveal, Frogster will be showing off a new test version of TERA and new Runes of Magic content at Gamescom. Frogster is the European publisher for TERA.
