ICC engineer arrows/bulletsFollow

Thought I'd take a shot (no pun intended) at tossing a few of those onto the AH as a possible money maker - nope - not sure if the guy posting them is doing it on purpose or he screwed up but one guy has four pages of the suckers going for a whopping 2g a stack (way less then the AH value of the mats on my server and since they're 450 skill its not like he was skilling off of them).

Got happy at the thought of simply flipping them to a merchant but they've got the whopping sell price of 3 copper a stack - ah well, at least they'll be cheap skill ups for Cat.

I just make them for guildies. I like your idea of using them for skillups when cataclysm comes out. I've got the recipe on my main, so it will help him. I have 4 toons that are 450 engineering, but I'm only focusing on my Priest and DK right now.

Think you missed the boat, theres too much competition now. At times I'd buy stacks of eternals at 3g per. One eternal makes 5 stacks of bullets. I was selling stacks for 8g, so turning 3g into 40g. Not sure if I ever recouped my 2000g back when primordials cost 2000-2200, but I wasn't really trying. I picked up the pattern pretty late, I got bullets instead of arrows (I think arrows are more popular) and I rarely logged on my rogue to make them considering I was so busy at the time. Literally when I was in my gold making phase, I had almost every profession and was trying to keep up with processing bank tabs worth of saronite and herbs. Inscription, jewelcrafting, alchemy/blacksmithing, some enchanting (in that order) then engineering was where I made most of my gold. And inscription/JC took lots of time, made lots of money, so I really didnt focus on bullets. But if I chose to focus on bullets or arrows when they were popular, or another niche like tailoring bags, I'm sure I could have made gold there too.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but just so people don't miss it:

No ammo in the expansion means you probably can't skill off those recipies.

If your getting into the arrow/bullet market now, you're probably a bit too late. They were very popular when ICC first came out but once they got competition the price dropped from 40g a stack to 5g and so on. It's pretty easy to farm WG for the mats to make plenty of stacks, I don't know if it's worth the time over other professions such as mining or herbing though, but could be some extra cash in your pocket.

if only you were on my realm, and they were arrows.

I would totally let you NPC them to me for 3c a stack.

Arrows go for 4-5+g a stack, and I have NO idea why. They use to be like 2g per 1k, and now I can never find the people who use to make them...let alone an engineer to make them (cuz I HAVE the mats -.- but they still want a 4-5g tip per 1k..yea no).

And 40g a stack? I've never seen that on my realm. That must have been like 1st few days after they came out.

No I wasn't selling a stack for 40g, but basically one eternal makes 5 stacks, thats what I meant. I'd sell a stack for 8g, but I'd get 5 of them off a single eternal which I paid 3g for.
