Wicked Flame Spessarite - JC question (I think)Follow

#1 Jun 19 2009 at 10:33 AM Rating: Decent
Hi,

I'm a DE and as such you get to know the AH really well. One of the areas of the market I had exploited was in buying and selling Wicked Flame Spessarites. Anyway I have about 10 of them left and I haven't sold one for a few months.

So, my question is: are these obsolete for some reason? Should I just delete them rather than having them take up space?

Thanks,

GN

WotLK broke in November and all gems were upgraded then. I don't know what you mean by "a few months" but I imagine the market didn't simply disappear on November 13, but dried up over a short time after that.

I don't think many people are looking for those now. However, if the new exp freeze in the next content patch results in people forming guilds to cap their level and run old content, then there may be a small market for those. I'm not really sure because I don't know off-hand if there are level restrictions on the WotLK gems which would prevent them from being used in L70 gear. You may want to check on that as I'm at work right now and can't do that for you myself.

Thanks for responding.

Truthfully, I am at best a casual player. I've got a 60 lock (who is the DE) and 53 mage and I've been playing for about 1.5 yrs. I rarely get time to play (we had twin daughters about 7 months ago), so I have barely done anything BC related let alone LK. So, LK change did not affect me in a major way.

So, if I only have a 1/2 hr or so I'll log on do my auction biz and that might be all that I have time for. So, I've got about 40k in gold in the bank, but my progression has been very, very slow. I have to say I really laugh at the people who say they are casual and play 20 hours a week.

So, the market for WFS's definitely dried up. No others are being offered or sold. I just thought someone might know off-hand.

Thank you though.

Cynyk is right, all of the Level 70 gems are next to worthless now, just Vendor them. All the Flame Spaerites are replaced with Huge Citrines. This lists them

The few I've tried to sell, and with success, has been in stacks of 5 on the weekends. The idea being that those looking to skill up will have some available. 4g/5 aint much but slightly better than vendor.

Seven month-old twins? Rarely get time to play? When do you get time to breathe?

I feel your pain, although I never had twins I do have kids and know how time consuming the little buggers can be. For crying out loud, it's always "all about me" with kids that age!

Best thing to do is have more kids. I have a friend who has five and she says two are twice as hard as one, three are twice as hard as two, but after that it's all the same.

Good Luck with the twins.

Thanks Cynyck. Love the link... forwarded to my wife...

Truthfully, it's not that hard. Busy yes, but not impossible. But the days of locking up a saturday playing games is over.
