such bad times, i want to delete my accountFollow

normaly i love tuesdays. its one day in the week when i can play all day, i have no collage and no work. so i can play as much as i like.

today tho was the worst posable day i hace ever had on FFXI so to vent my frustration i thought i would have a good old rant online. nothing like it now is there ^_^.

i loged on in the morning about 11am(ish) its a bit anoying playing at this time as i am from the UK. so there are not many poeple from the us playing and more other people are japanese and dont speek any english. after a while i get invited to a party.

I takes litraly 1hr to get things rolling we have to wait for people from the same LS to come from all over to kazham but hay what can i do no one else speeks any english.

i am told we will be doing to the sea serpent groto so i hop on a chokobo and a few of us set off. se sit just inside the entrance for ages. now i have never been here so i decide to cast invis and sneek and have a wonder while the party gets together.

as this is the worst posable day of my life on FFXI i get lost. then i get agroed, then i get killed. then just to tantalizye me with good fortune i get a raise. yay ^_^. then i think hummm its not too safe to wonder around in here, i will head back to my group. vis and sneek up, and off i go 2 seconds later while still week i am dead again. i send a tell to the guy to raised me who is litraly partying anround the corner. after he is done with his currnt fight and has had a rest. back he come to raise me up again. so i sneek and vis up again. and i try and start to head back.

i ask a few poeple to help me get back to the entrance as i am lost but everyone igrors me. probably cos they dont speak any english. then i find this lv 75 NIN - wow my lucky day !! hay Mr NIN can you help me get out of here? why sure he says follow me. ok off we go. 2 seconds later my invis wares off right in the middle of 3 undead which all agro me, and so suprise suprise i am dead for the 3rd time.

and my group is not even all here yet after 2hrs !!!

now i am amazing patient so i think f*** its just a bad morning these things happen, and its my own fault for wondering off. so i HP back and TRY and get a chokobo back to my group. who are now all there and are slowly taking the odd mod. then i get lost in the god damb crappy jungel. no one in my group will give me directions and i am actually going deleious things are going so bad. after about 20mins of wondering around and a few surgestions by my group as to which way i should head,. i get back to the group.

so now we have made it we are all here ^_^ yay it only too what 2hrs 1/2. but what the hay i have the whole day to play. then we kill i think about 2pugs. but people have to 2hr and all our mana is burnt and its a bit crappy. "i know" someone says "lets go into sea surpents groto, and kill crabs" < someone in our group

"hay guys, i really dont think we shold go in there, lets just stick to mandys and gobs maybe. i dont think we are ready for that place" < me

"come on then everyone lets go" < someone in the group

so we are going through the groto with sneek on. i am uber paranoid about dieing again so i have vis too. then we go throuhg this like secret door and start to take a crab. suprisingly its amazingly tough and we cant kill it. i think someone dies at this point, but now i dont rerally care. we call for help and this mages bales us out. then the mage raises the dead guy and then all the undead, which by the way are about 2 feet from out camp agro us all. its a blood bath and i just run with the few survivors to this underground town place. cant remeber its name.

the corpses get some raises some done. we wiat around for a bit and there is talk of going back for pugs. then i notice i can get a chokobo so i think. thats it i have had enough i am going to just disband without a word hope on this chokobo and find another group.

wich i then do. i find my way back to kazham suprisingly easyly. thigs are looking tantalysingly on the up. back in kazham i get a tell from the leader of my old uber-sucky barty telling me everyonie has disbanded and do i want to rejoin her. i say if you go to yh(TAB) jung, and chain mandys like any normal person would i will come back. so i go their and meet with her. there are 3 people from the sucky party me and a new NIN or SAM cant remember (boy he has no idea what he is in for) we kill about 2 mandys and then people start moning. we are in a crudy camp. and then a gob agros us. we kill it, and its ok. so then it is decided that we should go for gobs. someone brings back a train of gobs and a bee while out pulling and suprise suprise its another blood bath.

i think i blood ported as i was so angry, but i cant recall.i get back to kazham and do a shout something along the lines of "have you ever had a party so bad, you wanted to delete your account?" i the hope of getting some sympathy.

i get a tell form this guy who join our group late on after someone from the LS left. but he left very quickly as he had the sence to recognise a bad party when he saw one.

me and him just chat and joke about the crayz bad time we have just had. i get an invite them from someone one in juno saying hay your lv 33 come to crawlers nest with us. ok i say and of i go for my second uber sucky party of the day.

sufice it to say. things were bad, very very very bad today. i dont think i will ever get in a party that bad ever again. it was just like a cure joke. by the end of it i was loosing it. it just never got any better.

the one thing i got from the whole day of playing was someone brought me Protectra II from juno i gave them 7k for it and someone spotted me for the rest.

and i have lernt alot about sucky partys and some of the warning sighes of them.

i will sleep on it. and maybe have a brake till the weekend. i am not sure if my nerves can take a party that bad again.

one thing i have lernt out of the whole thing is; be a git, be a total git all the time and always look after number 1. if you are in a sucky party dont kid your self that your advice will turn it around. the poeple just have no hope at all. you could be in the room with them holding their hand and they would still suck so bad.

just get out while you can, and dont look back. if you get loads of tells saying things will be differnt and to come back. just ignor them. they are all lies any way. and if you get yet still more tells whip out the old blist and get on with trying to set your self up with a new party.

i think i would rather sit in the city waiting for a good party for 5hrs than go in a bad party for 1 min.

Yeah, bad days are everyone's worst nightmare in this game, however, I just took a week break, mainly because I had mid-terms, but also because I've been doing some massive farming, and so I just wanted to cool down, I get back on the other day, get a pt that is awesome, there was me (I'm a PLD), WAR, WHM, BLM, THF, and a RNG. We were owning everything that came our way in Crawler's Nest... then of course, literally 100 exp tnl, our WHM has to log, couldn't even wait for me to lvl. This didn't bother me as much as what happened after, the RNG and THF say "it's gonna be too hard to find another WHM, it'll just be easier to get pts seperate" and they leave. So the BLM, WAR, and myself decide that we'll split up and keep an eye out for spots. Well, as soon as we split up, someone trains a bunch of Soldier Crawlers through, I die, this stupid WHM that watches it happen wants me to pay 2k for a Raise... not a Raise II or III, a Raise I. So I decide to just go back to HP and lvl my NIN for a while for BCNM and Promyvion stuff... of course, I get stuck with someone train farming all the rabbits in W. Ronfaure, so then I just died... over and over again, I finally got pissed and went back and farmed some more, only good thing about it is that I got Hero fame in Sandy.

You know i was leader of a party that was about as good as your party description. It was terrible, and we had a WHM who continually ******* the whole time. Then finally left. amazingly, i replaced her(i think a her) and all of a sudden we were chain 4's and even a few 5's.

Of course our other WHM cast waterga and got 2 lizzies on him, and eventually killed 3 of us, and i accidentally linked 3 scorpions, and those 2 things caused about 30 minutes of down time. Once that was done and we replaced the ******** WHM, it got a whole lot better.

Sometimes even one party member can really slow down a party.

I say this because you seem very uneasy to give parties a chance, and sometimes by doing so they will become the best parties ever.


On the other hand, you do need to realize when a party is not worth the hassel, and know when to leave. I seem to have a hard time leaving parties, and i wish i could do it more freely for those UBER SUCKY ONES.

I wouldnt quit over a sucky party though, why dont you try crafting for a bit? I knwo after i took cooking from lvl 0 - 53 any party was exciting :)

Yeah, there are bad days in any MMORPG, they happen. Sometimes they can be so bad you wonder whats the point of even paying that money at the end of the month, but you have to remember the Good days you had, or else no one will stick around in these games. I'm also very glad to see those who replied here didn't flame you for your typographical errors.. it seems the Shiva players are much better than those on the general forums. GO SHIVA! and dont give up m8!
