Weapon Skill-up

I was in Valkum Dune trying to Raise my Staff Skills (lvl 10) but it wasnt rising. I went as a 54rdm but with a lvl 1 ash staff. My skill is at 10, so i thought it should have been rising. Why wasnt it rising, is there anything else I should try.

Also, ever sinse the update, I have scythe as a Weapon Skill but i cant equip any. I dont have Hand 2 Hand anymore on list, but is able to equip a Hand 2 Hand weapon.

I usually raise my weapon skill from 1-100 in Batallia solo. It goes pretty fast for me but i'm not sure if it would be too tough for a mage(never been one myself). Try it out, see how it works for you, plus you can farm some tigers while skilling up!

Thanks, But I just found out from the Red Mage forum that my Staff skill cant raise, Which is rediculous, I can Equip staff but can raise skill.

If you have a Black Mage sub, you'll have that skill because Black Mages can equip Scythes. Red Mages cannot, of course, so it's a useless skill.

As far as the Staff and H2H things, they drive me nuts too. I end up meleeing with my Dark Staff every once in a while, and it irks me that I can't get skillups. I also wanted to use an H2H weapon when we were hunting Liches for the extra damage (and Combo) but without any H2H skill that was impractical.

Oh well... at least we have Sword and Club. Smiley: disappointed
