Well I'm glad to say I finally got a good party in the dunes. We partied for a couple of hours and went from lvl 16 to 19 almost 20. I had a great time with this party, everyone was really cool and helpful. Hopefully we can all party again in Qufim.
Anyways, I am always looking for a good party so drop me a tell whenever you see me online and I will be more than willing to join.

See you all online.

oh, and who can forget the cit bat trains in the citadel... and crawler trains of massive size in the nest.... bad party memebers are the least of your problems when someone trains 30 crawlwers to the zone... and you cant get out...

That is sooooo true!! Enjoy the time you spend in Valkurm because that's a picnic compared to the other areas you have to lvl in. Wait until you get to the Crawlers' Nest, I know I always enjoy getting killed the instant I zone into the area. At least you don't have to worry about rampant trains running thru the dunes (I've seen trains of crawlers that numbered between 15-20 worker crawlers and a few soldier or rumble crawlers in the mix).

Gah the dunes

I started lvling drk in my spare time for fun, since I'm waiting on a friend to get his sub to 30 to lvl with my blm sub and continue lvling whm. In 3 hours I gained 500 exp and that one experience was enough to make me tired of the dunes, so I picked up my BST at lvl 12 and I'm up to 19 and loving it, I'm kind of scared that I'm gonna give up my main again for a new job because this is some of the most fun I've had so far. So yes in conclusion the dunes are still so bad they drive people to BST.

Quite... or Khazam. Goddess help us, but I HATE Khazam for that ever popular journey from 25 to 30. For those who have yet to visit, allow me to sum it up in one word...

MANDRAGORAS.

For nearly four or five levels all you will kill is Mandragoras with the occaisional Goblin thrown in for spice, if you are very lucky. The drop rate is incredibly pathetic, and there ain't much variety. EXP, yes... plenty of that, but other than said EXP you will get almost nothing.

As your mind begins to melt under the amazing tedium of bashing mandragora after mandragora after mandragora (And you actually start to pray for Goblin aggro so that you can do SOMETHING different instead of sleeping half the bloody battle because that's what the mandys like to do) you realise that the true horror of the place is that YOU WILL HAVE TO COME BACK.

Enjoy the dunes while you can, for you at least will have variety of prey.

the best part of this game is the fact that you can play with thousands of other people.

the worst part of this game is the fact that you can play with thousands of other people.

i dont really blame the zones, i blame people that 1) dont listen to honest sound advice 2)dont communicate 3) watch tv, read something, sleep, go afk randomly, good food randomly, 4)disban after leveling.

i know we have all witnessed these acts, and it all comes up... how hard is it to say brb? or my personal favorite, be right back.

id have to say, my partys after yhoatar were some of the best ive been in, and after i dropped red mage at 45, i get to do dunes all over again... 3 times... this will be my 9th 10th and 11th time lvling in the dunes, and i have to say it hasnt changed a bit. the people, new people especially, need to realize that there are other people playing, and that they want there time to be respected and appritiated. this game is all about working together 100%, random afk, not discussing tactics, setting up simple plans, (tank puller, voke order, bla bla) are the bane of most parties...

for people who take this game seriously, like my self, who play alot, it gets to me sometimes how people dont honor the fact that im helping them get xp, just like there helping me get it to...

we all know my point, but yah, i agree that the dunes have to be the worst place to lvl...
