Make fun of him as you wish but he is right. People are entirely to lazy to actually get a signet for their home country. Their entirely to rigid to risk xp on Exp Force missions and/or Ballista's. Basically there is a large portion of the people playing this game who only care about gaining their next lvl and getting new spiffy armor. They don't care about the storyline and the fact that you can interact with that story.
You think he was being self important in thinking his choice will make that much of a difference? I think he was saying he didn't want to be in the same nation as your buddy who only gets a signet when he is almost running over a guard... read between the lines. ^.-

Go ahead, waste 40k just to be first in Conquest. Also loose all of your conquest points, and not to mention doing Windurst rank missions instead of continuing the Bastok ones.

Just to clarify what he said, it's 4,000 gil, not 40k to switch nations, you lose your CP, but I believe it's preserved along with your rank if you switch back to your old nation.

i dunno about everyone else, but i keep signet all the time... i'm just worried that joining Exp Force at lv 15 is a bad idea... i'd think it's more meant for higher lv players... not to mention i'd much rather get my subjob adn chocobo first. ^_^;;
