Excuse to see Melisandre naked.

She did look pretty damn good though.

I was all in. Until the blue-balled, leech on **** thing.

Speaking of blue-balled, Theon wasn't in that episode.

I think this might have been why this episode was one of the best all season Smiley: lol Definitely the best in the last few weeks. Still waiting for the pay-offs at the weddings of Joffrey and Robb (er, each of their respective weddings... not them getting married to each other. That's more of Loras's schtick). The spell cast by Stannis was, IIRC, the last thing needed to bring about the end of the season.

That bit was weak, but at least we got a bit of male skin. Gendry's kind of a sexy guy.

I like how the White Walker that attacked Sam/Whatsherface was the exact same one that stared at him when they made their big entrance north of the wall at the end of last season. That guy really has a thing for Sam.

I'm hypothesizing that dragon glass wrecks the **** out of white walkers due to that scene, and my father had the same response as me to it: "That ******* idiot left the god damn thing there."

Game of Thrones characters with a 90's/posterized look.

I particularly like Joffrey's - looks kinda "GTA cover art", doesn't it?

Joffrey looks like Beiber, John Snow looks pretty cool, Jamie looks like a pedophile drug dealer, and Daenerys looks like a broke hippy.

What ever this Behind the Candelabra thing is. I heard about it on the radio last week, apparently someone thinks it's a big deal. Not sure what it's about... but the info on it says something about cougars, maybe Courtney Cox will show up in it?

That and probably Memorial Day weekend.

Well, if I have to give up a week of GoT to have Matt Damon wear a sequined white chauffeur's outfit, then I suppose it's okay.

No, it's because the GoT ratings were horrible this time last year, so they're skipping the holiday weekend.

He looked good in a bit of sensible, well-applied make-up. The movie was really boring though. I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. Fortunately they aired it again,,,and again...and again. I finished watching it last night.

So that was an uncomfortable episode to watch, since having read the books, I knew what would happen. Liked the way the books did it a bit better though, with Melisandre's other "killings" happening at about the same time. (That & I think Joffrey's death came sooner. I recall riding the emotional high of that and then getting super depressed post Red Wedding).

I hope the dude who went to **** made it out (The Blackfish?), so Rickon, him & Shaggydog may have adventures.

Man, that episode just ruined a ton of the misplaced optimism I had for the show.

I haven't read the books... does anyone actually have a decent ending?

House Bolton.

Omegavegeta wrote:

Yes, that was the Blackfish. I'm pretty sure he made it because somehow they need to have Jaime ride out to subdue the Tully unrest and without the Blackfish there is no real leader for the Tullys.

The episode was shocking as expected and really good. The Bran/Rickon/Jon scenes were okay and Arya was awesome.
I don't like what they did to Jeyne. In the books she is still alive but this way the show actually tells us that her having a baby from Robb will not have any impact on the book story at all. Or so it seems to me. It's a minor thing, sure, but still annoys me.

I like the Arya/Hound bits the best. The stabbing of Robb's wife was a specially bloody mess.

I didn't grow any fonder of the charming, heart-warming Daario Nahar. Smiley: bah

I haven't watched it yet, but did read the books. Did they show the bit with the head-swapping Grey Wind and Robb?

@ Spoonless

Not yet, at least. I guess it'll make an appearance in the next episode, which because of what will happen, will be the best episode yet.

Anyone else notice that when they cut Cat's throat the wound appears a few inches above where the sword actually was?
