Finally got around to reading what I picked up the other day from Midtown. It was so crowded, like usual, and they only let one book go per customer so I went with Spidy, which I'm sure was no surprise. It's just a retelling and slight modern-ing of the original story, which is what the Season One line of books all are. Looks like its only half of what a Season One book tends to be, so I can't wait for the rest of it. Not much really changed from the original story, outside the change from Wrestling with Crusher Hogan to MMA with Crusher Hogan. I'm pretty sure they're going to cut the part of the original story about him being a somewhat famous TV star out for a while before the whole Uncle Ben thing, but at the same time I wouldn't mind if they kept it in. It's kind of important to show how disconnected he became from what he was taught from his aunt and uncle and how it eventually came crashing down on top of him. More mentions of Johnny Storm, though, which I like. Shows where the animosity comes from, instead of having it just happen like it originally just did.
