Naruto: (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Bleach: Sword nothing, that's an axe. I'll go with it. One step closer to bankai, then the series holds nothing interesting for me. Smiley: frown Well, I guess there's the whole Unohana flashback that'll last fifty chapters.

Bleach: I don't hate it. Definitely a cleaver, which suits him fine. Please no bankai though.

Bleach: Kenpachi's Bankai would probably cut the world, if that's what his Shikai is like. It's interesting that the theory about his sword always being released like Ichigo's was totally wrong though.

I'm not surprised his shikai can cut a meteor into pieces. I'm surprised it can do it with his eye patch on, though.

If anyone wants a free 48-hour pass to Crunchyroll, PM me. Members get a free pass to give out every month and I have 5 or 6 stored up.
On the PS3, I've never had an issue with the Crunchyroll app. I guess if you really binge watch it might become an issue, but I tend to watch 3-4 episodes of something at a time and works just fine.

Kenpachi dispelled that possibility from the outset, no?

Unreleased zanpakutous scale with the spirit power of the shinigami, and Kenpachi said his would be the size of a skyscraper if he didn't force it to stay small. But once they are released, they don't necessarily scale in size anymore.

Combine that with the fact that Kenpachi had never spoken to his sword before, and it would be surprising if it was released.

I thought it was one of the other captains who said that, really.

I swear when Kenpachi and Ichigo fought a long time ago in the first arc, when Ichigo was learning to "Talk to Zangestsu" or w/e. That Kenpachi said he took the sword from someone and it was just a tool, and he didn't need to learn its name. Ichigo said something about it screaming in pain or something while they fought.

Kenpachi then explained he has all the power he needs and wont rely the swords extra power or something. Then Ichigo won. I think that's what happened. They said all the captains swords would have been skyscrapers but it was kind of rude to show it off and they made them smaller, that's one reason Ichigos sword goes from huge to Small in bankai. Showing he has a ton of unrestrained power at first but later honed it into extreme speed.

I think that's what it was. I think, if what i remember is correct, that Kenpachi realized that the sword is an extension of his power, not its own power. I guess.

The whole "swords the size of skyscrapers" speech was from the Isshin/Arrancar-Grand Fisher fight.

Hmmm, I think they added more to that scene in the anime. In the manga, he just says that his sword doesn't have a released form, but also that he didn't put a seal on it (because no seal could contain his spirit power), but that what you see is the true form of his sword.

But it seems pretty clear in the context of the arc that he's saying he doesn't have a shikai (since Ichigo's previous fights all centered around the meaning of names, shikai, etc.). And then Zangetsu tells Ichigo that Kenpachi can't hear his sword screaming in pain, because they're working against each other.

Bleach: A completely unsatisfying conclusion to that fight. I don't know why I expected to feel any other way, but here we are.

Naruto: Kakashi lost his eye and Madara gained his technique. Not a bad start to the fight scene, what with lowered expectations and all.

One Piece: Luffy punches himself, then Donflamingo Genies his castle and starts the Hunger Games.

Isn't he blind now? Pretty sure Kakashi lost his right eye earlier in the war. Of course Narutus/Jesuto is just going to heal it for him.

Bit confused about the whole clone thing. Was DoFlamingo just hiding in the shadows and the puppet is what we were seeing the whole time? Did he actually attack the Thousand Sunny directly after Punk Hazard, or does he have stupid long range with the string?

It's probably a trick transformation and he'll turn into a Kenpachi knock-off off-screen.

Well Bleach is back to only reading when something interesting is posted here. On a different note Claymore looks like it's getting ready to start wrapping things up. Yagi pulled a DBZ return for a certain warrior

Claymore: She's such a popular character, though, that the fanbase went wild.

Not unhappy with it and Yagi's art is much better then when the manga started. The foreshadowing for it has been there since the beginning so it's wasn't if she was going to reappear but how was it going to play out. The way the return was done here was much more reasonable then other mangas that have done it and it is very touching. If it plays out like everyone is expecting it the main plot will get wrapped up nicely and leaves it open to a spinoff or continuation on the mainland.

The movie follows the standard "Enemy shows up, enemy is overwhelming, good guys distract/power up/eventually win" formula. It felt more Dragonball than Dragonball Z if that makes any sense, and I liked it. Worth at least one watch, and then repeatedly watching the Bingo Dance.

Bleach: So either Kenpachi was "Shinigami Stark", or the cookie bones turned Yachiru into part of the Quincy's imagination. Either way nobody dies in Bleach.

One Piece: The karma for hiding behind a mask at Enies Lobby comes back to haunt Usopp. Smiley: lol
