Well the new show Sanctuary premiered on SciFi last night. Did anyone else happen to watch it but me?
I believe this going to be another Flash Gordon. Their is way to much bad CGI everywhere. Its like they only had enough money to make 2 sets. The whole show it self screams Dresden Files + Primeval + Torchwood but done horrible wrong.
Also Amanda Tappings accent is horrible also. Im gonna give it 2 more episodes but if they are anything like last nights 2 hour snore fest then im gonna let it drop. I amde my self watch it as it jsut drug on and on and on.
Any other thoughts?

I taped it, haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I like Amanda Tapping, and she looks great as a brunette. I felt her fake accent was horrible in the commercials that I saw. I'll give it a chance. The only other thing I could think I need to tape in the 9 o'clock hour, is the new Clone Wars cartoon.

I watched it and at times got reminded of Torchwood. Unfortunately, I don't like Torchwood.
Luckily, Sanctuary is better though, although I don't really care all that much for it. Unfair to judge after only one episode though.

Amanda was born in England. The thing is people got used to how she talked in SG 1 and will automatically assume it's a fake accent, but keep in mind many actors do take voice lessons so they can alter the quality of their voice so they hide their real accents. I seriously doubt it's a fake accent and the SG1 voice was the real fake accent.
Fake accent or not, she still sounds horrible.

Seriously?? I thought Torchwood was great. Had all the dark drama that DW didnt have. Im a big fan of both.

It's the characters I didn't care for at all. And the way the actors played them.
Several stories weren't half bad and the basic premise was good. I did hear that season two was better than the first one, perhaps I should give it a chance.
