First book in a series called Discworld. Very funny, I found myself laughing uncontrolably on several occasions. A great work of satire, I plan on reading many more books in this series.
Many folks here have. I'm a big fan myself - my wife and I actually went to one of Terry Pratchett's book signings last year.
We've read most of his books and still have yet to read some that are on our book shelves. We've rarely ever been disappointed with his books.

for me i enjoyed the first three books I read (Colour of Magic, Light Fantastic and Mort) and then i started to realise it was the same d*ck and fart jokes time and again.
I took a break from reading Terry Pratchett's Discworld books for about 5 months. I decided to start reading the few of his novels sitting on our bookshelf that I hadn't read yet. I'm now reading "Going Postal" - I'm sorry I was away for so long - it's a wonderful read.
