8 sex scenes, not including metaphysical encounters, in a single 24 hour period, and no story to speak of that isn't merely the vehicle which transports Anita from one bed to another.
On the up side, some much-needed character growth in Richard, Anita and Nathaniel. We even get to know Micah a little better, though he's still bordering on non-entity for me. Likeable, yes, but not yet significant enough to feel a real attachment for. The author could kill him in the next book and I wouldn't blink.
On the downside, no Asher. When Richard became a jerk, I transferred my affections to Asher. Also, the long hair fetish is becoming a bit tedious. Okay, we get it. LKH has a major hard-on for guys with long hair. But when you can tell a character is out of favor with the author and off the sexual menu for the protagonist because he cut off his hair, and see him coming back into favor when he starts to grow it back out again, then the predilection becomes just a tad bit ridiculous.
Talk amongst yourselves...
