It turned out to be the work of an artist group, but the council just took the signs down and said "We don't mind people using the park for sex at night..."

According to this article, and the many comments from people who fled our country with varying degrees of social phobias, we are the birthplace of the coming Antichrist.

In case you're wondering if the author is right in her conclusion, well, she is. Sort of.

She basically boils it down to some extremes: unhealthy nationalism, bullying mentality, lack of empathy, and selfishness. If our country was a person, she just called it a psychopath, and in essence, she's right, but she takes it way, way too far.

I get the feeling that she's one of those people with extremely thin skin. You need thick skin to survive for extended periods of time in our country, but that doesn't mean we go around bullying people into an early grave all day long. I mean, our schools teach the same values as every other country's schools. Empathy, diversity, equality, being all that you can be, etc. It's not like the Jante Law is forced down on our kids at school. It's just a part of our mentality; our national identity, if you will.

So is sarcasm, and we use that a lot. To someone who isn't used to sarcasm being used in a friendly manner, it might seem like bullying. I've had some friends from other countries complain that we seem to make fun of them all the time. I have to explain to them that it's how we interact socially among friends. You'd be hard pressed to find a Dane using sarcasm as a mean-spirited retort. We switch to name-calling there.

Anyway, people are sensitive.
