account mixup/gifting heirloom items...Follow

#1 Jun 28 2011 at 8:49 AM Rating: Decent
I'm trying to gift heirloom items from one account to another. I have tried handing them off between characters and gifting them through the mail, neither of which it is allowing me to do. I have two accounts (with very similar names) b/c I had a hard time installing the game and getting the launcher to work at first. I accidentally put station cash points on the wrong account (the one I haven't been playing on). I went ahead and bought some items with those SC points (since Sony told me they couldn't switch over funds to the account I do actually use), and was planning to just gift them over and then delete that account that I don't use. Any idea of how I can get these items to my character? I had 1300 in station cash (that's $13!!!).

Cheers,

Angie

You can't gift an item that's already purchased and in your inventory unfortunately. When you're gifting you do it at the time of purchase; instead of choosing to buy you choose the gift option instead, and that will send plus buy it at the same time.

You can try petitioning to explain the mixup to CS to see if they'd take away and refund the items so you can re-do it as gifting but it's definitely not a guarantee that they'll do it. It's worth a try though--the worst they'll say is no and you'll be stuck with the items on the wrong account.

Here's the guide we wrote up on how to gift from the Marketplace: http://eq2.zam.com/wiki/Station_Cash_%28EQ2%29#Gifting_Station_Cash_Items
