SO then ask yourself why am I playing and paying for a gamer I think is god awful?
Same reason the majority of people are: It says Final Fantasy on the cover.

And arranging things so you can go "flank move 1-2-3, rear move 1-2-3" means there's even less issue with needing to constantly move.

And it's even easier than that because of the way the moves and stances work. I have one button for flank moves and one button for rear moves. I hit the button and the appropriate move for the current stance happens. Sure, I sometimes manually hit moves depending on the situation, but that's not nearly as common as "move flank button 1 three times, move rear button 2 three times." And if I have to dodge and break the sequence, I come back in and start with button 1, which does DK->TS to get the debuff/buff cycle going again. Even if the tank has the mob spinning in circles, it's not too bad, just stick with button 1 to keep the debuff/buff up.

Positionals on MNK are not a pain in the slightest. Well, unless you call paying a tiny bit of attention to what you're doing a pain...

The way I hear it, Dragoon is much more positional dependent than MNK or NIN, with nasty penalties for getting it wrong. Be in the wrong place for a move on MNK and it's no big deal, just a little less damage and keep going. It's not like it wrecks your entire stack.

As I've leveled DRG, I've found that not losing my flank bonus on a crit for Full Thrust can be a difference of 200+ damage, and I'm sure that'll become more prominent as I approach 50.

They eased up considerably on DRG positional requirements in 2.4. Heavy Thrust is now just a damage boost from being done while flanking instead of the buff being dependent on it, and Impulse Drive can now be done from the moon if you want. I think the only truly positional ability they have left is Chaos Thrust, though I could easily be forgetting one as I haven't DRG'd in quite a while.

Remember that's the important part - adding something that gets high praise, minimal complaints. Sorry to say this but that will always be the priority.

See, this makes sense but then they do things like waste time adding mounts to PvP content (significantly less used content compared to the majority of the game) as well as adding an ADS mount in general, something almost no one suggested, ever, aside a few people in Fan Fest and adding a mount based on your luck of getting the other primal mounts. Then they continue to create extreme grind based content when the MAJORITY actually complained about the pointless grind of obsolete content for new content. When Zeta came out, while the light grind is less than Nexus, it was requested, by most, to never have to do it again.

They did it again anyway. So let's be real and say they'll do what they want to do regardless of players. Look at the 2 week time delay purely because A HANDFUL of people may rush the content, since you know...people who are capped off at the end of 2.5 wants to do THE NEXT END-GAME content off the bat, because that only makes sense, however Yoshida says no.

You can't please everyone, but getting complaints is also a good thing - The battle system wouldn't be getting further revision in 3.0 if everything was released that pleased everyone. Skill, Spellspeed and the Black Mage reform in 3.0 wouldn't be happening if it was met with minimal complaint. The issue with "come back in a few years" is we're 2 years into ARR, about 5 into XIV and realistically they did nothing but take a large step back in creativity while fixing the issues present in 1.0. They've done stuff Blizzard dropped from WoW years ago because, well...it was outdated.

1: Adding mounts is nothing compared to adding huge content.
2: PVP has been something that a lot of people even using XI wanted, the amount of times I saw "PVP" back when it didn't exist in XI was a lot. This is also something that Critics wanted in the original XI and had constantly asked for not including all the WoW people who would say "Doesn't even have PVP". Now this is large based content that you could question but again high numbers, I'm not in a huge or small LS but I can name a long list of people from my LS alone that play a lot of PVP and we are not a PVP based LS.
3: Grinding - MMO - Get over it. SE has given grinding content but people get rewards or those standard players who can still enjoy 1 hour a day of XIV. People don't complain so much about the Grinding of XIV when compared to XI. People know what XIV is now and if they don't like it - quit.
4. Complaints isn't from one or two people isn't good, it's masses SE will listen to. Want comparisons? XIV 1.0 thread after thread after thread about endless amount of problems. One person already unhappy about the 50% increase of zone size does not constitute a mass and if SE really is reading, they will see more defence comments when compared to 1 or 2 complainers.
5. I thought you said in another post no one complains? now you have admitted it - thanks.
6. Still sounds like your unhappy about XIV according to your last sentence, why are you even here? I don't really care what WoW did ages ago and threw out the window. I quit that game after a year or so. 1.0 was a sham of a game that had far too many problems when compared to 2.0 - course there are basic changes that people didn't like but as I said before 1.0 is gone. If you don't like what XIV is now why are you even wasting your time on something that according to you has more problems than 1.0 did? again SE will see the occasional comment like yours - ignore it - when they see people like me defending a game which has a high amount of numbers joining it. Critics love it, complaints are rare (sorry but 5 people in 2015 on Alla doesn't constitute a mass amount of people).

As for changes to 3.0 again - player feedback not just moaning with a tantrum.

The fact you don't seem happy about the game makes me question, your paying for something that you think isn't good enough? I assume when you go shopping to buy food you purchase stuff you don't like, you then cook it a way you hate then complain that it doesn't match up to what you wanted?

I find that strange.
