It died while we were in its stomach and it took a full 2 minutes for him to purge us after death lol.

I had that happen to me too on my one and only trip into WoD. When I saw the message that I got soldiery and that were weren't zoning back out, we just hit Return to get back to the beginning of the zone.

Yeah I have a feeling that's going to need to get patched soon.

How do you get inside his stomach? I've only done the one run and nobody explained it.

He spits a bile add that occasionally casts Mini on all targets close to it. Then there's a purple marker that's spit out that the mini-ed players need to reach, any player Minied and in the spot get swallowed. Once inside they attack the Stomach Walls until they're all dead, which deals damage to the boss and prevents a wipe mechanic. (I believe it also enables him to be chained again.)

If the boss is killed before the walls are destroyed, the players are trapped until Mini wears off, or they Return out.

Odin down thank you..

Did WoD again last night and my favorite level is the last.. It is simply amazing graphics and affects..
I was trying to get screen shots of it last night too..

I did a CT run last night just to see what it was like since it had been so long.. I thought it would be easy with everyone being over geared.
NAAA it was wipes continually.. We wiped more than WoD. Those thinking it will be easy to run all 3 for the upgrade item might as well forget it.. Hunts will be easier and faster.

The reason CT wipes is BECAUSE people are so overgeared.

They think they can just power through the bone dragon and ignore the skeleton mechanics. But the adds can quickly get overwhelming, and the only way to control them is to kill them properly. That means letting only 4 DPS handle the Bone Dragon while everyone else kills skeletons.

Yea we wiped because of the skeletons. But we wiped several other times on other bosses too, it was sad. Honestly I dont think I wiped the first time I ran Ct that much. There was allot of this: You got to be Firggin kidding me (drop).

I must have been very fortunate, my weekly CT run was relatively smooth (after my first attempt where the server booted me and I couldn't get back in and they kicked me for afk).

Breezed through LotA for the weekly, shockingly. People actually can be so overgeared now that they just power through Bone Dragon without caring much about the adds and just healed through it; our group somehow managed it (although I don't know if everyone necessarily made it through alive).

The only time the group wiped was at the final boss, where we triggered Ancient Flare so quickly due to the increased damage that I think it caught some people off guard and they didn't put up the barrier in time >_> That, unfortunately, is not a mechanic we can outgear.

Well part of it is CT is still being run by allot of lower level people gearing up or alts and some new players. They can not make it through that stuff, they die.
That is why I am for caps on this content even though I hate caps.. You know it ends up taking longer because 1/2 everyone is dead. No way they can survive the bone dragon if a few skeletons get through.. That is not fair to them to be lying there dead. Sometime forcing upper level people through might not be a good thing unless you level the playing field for all..

Well now with darkness finished I can really reflect on the good job SE has done. People are far too eager to complain about things when compared to compliments. My job deals with the same kind of people.
So you know what, good job SE.

Even on the rest of the new content.

I cleared it on duty finder the first time I queued up at around 10am on the day it launched. We wiped 3 times on the last boss, but completed the instance without any other issues. I didn't even know people were having that much trouble until later in the day. I was grouped up with a pro SCH and the two of us were rockin heals for our group. I think I just got a lucky draw of skilled players. Makes me scared for the next time I queue for it :(

Best wing of CT so far for sure though. SE's ability to create great endgame is improving with each patch. The recent HM dungeons have been really well done too. Reminds me of WoW dungeons in BC. Cool bosses, nice story elements, interesting and fun mechanics, not too long, not too short, not too hard, not too easy. Just the right amount of everything. The first dungeons you do as you're leveling are painfully boring compared to pretty much everything post Bray HM. I'm really happy with the direction they're taking things in.

Heavensward is going to be a really good expansion if the last 2 patches are any reflection of what is to come.

This is my kind of thinking, I just hope we get the large amount of content considering it is an expansion pack. One thing I absolutely hated with XI was some expansions didn't come with much and was developed over time. I don't mind waiting till I get to finish it but I like to see plenty of "To Do" with main quests and additional quests, lots of stuff to unlock, lots of minions, furnishings etc.

Still I really do think SE has got it's act together in regards to updates compared to XI.

XI gets updates every damn month now. Part of the reason I stopped logging is was because I felt I was getting further and further behind in content, not catching up.

I think the initial content for the expansion will probably include:
- New outerworld zones, some gated behind content
- Several new dungeons to accomodate the new 60 cap
- Big chunk of initial story explaining how you gain access to the new areas, plot set up, etc
- The new jobs (each of which could be like the "advanced" jobs in FFXI where you have to have something at at least 30 to unlock, since there is no base class)
- All new gear, all new crafting recipes, all new levequests, etc

I would bet a dollar that the flying mount won't be accessible right off the bat. It'll have to be something you earn access to through the story, and using it, you can get to the aforementioned gated areas.

I'd think this but realistically, it can be either good or bad. I remember the transition from 1.23 > ARR and how they dropped -a lot- of stuff for the sake of simplicity and to "not confuse new players or new players to MMORPGs" (and these are his own words) and how a lot of people say "Vertical is better than horizontal so they don't try to keep gear relevant for a year, but I'll ignore them trying to keep relics relevant past 1.20."

So it can go either way but it definitely is the make/break on where this game will head direction wise. We know nothing of the content beyond it won't be like 2.x's setup and there's "story mode" and "raid" mode that is akin to Second Coil for the "hard" mode.

Would you like remote-controlled robotic machine guns with that?

Because you can have that.
