Levling Strategy: Please define for me and answer questionsFollow

Back when I originally played a lot of people would go in the Gusgen Mines and be in a party and use that book thing to set up a training regimine to kill the skeletons. They did this thing where they like leveled down or something, so that they would still get experience from it and they could level up faster (I only sort of understood this, if this makes no sense let me know and I'll try my best to rephrase). However I just resubscribed and nobody is doing this anymore, what gives? Anybody have any clue where people do this method in other places?

The book thing is FoV/GoV (Fields/Grounds of Valor) where you kill the specified mobs for exp rewards and some minor buffs. People don't really do it anywhere anymore. The level-down thing you mention is called 'level-sync', and it's used to level down party members so you can continue to exp off of lower level mobs. Now the normal thing to do is to use those books to solo your way to 30+ and either keep going, or try to get into an Abyssea party, which are rare themselves these days. All I can suggest is that you attempt to start your own. There are probably people wanting to exp on low level jobs somewhere, and you can probably do it with around 4-6 people and get decent exp.

Also look into getting Trusts to help your leveling experience alongside using GoV/FoV books. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Category:Trust

Setting RoE objectives based on where you are will also help things along.
