Slot Type 1 QuestionFollow

I have a fairly simple question, but I'm having a hard time finding an easy answer.

If you have a piece of equipment with a Type 1 slot in it, is the only augment that it will hold an augment that fits into all slot types? Or is Type 1 like a wildcard slot?

I ask because I can't find any augments that are Type 1, and I read something that said Type 1 augments became fits in any slot type. That being the case, I want to make sure slot Type 1 isn't also a takes any augment slot.
