Armor Dye questionFollow

Hello all.

Please forgive my ignorance in this, but I've been away for a long time...

I don't fully understand how the new dye system is suppose to work. You dye the 'slot' and not the item? Where, or how, do you get the dye? How do you use it? Hmm... is there a sight you can point me towards? lol

Thanks all.

Dyes are player made so you'll need to bye them from someone, in the bazaar most likely. What you're looking for is a vial of prismatic dye.

You just need to have 1 vial per slot you want to change, then go the the dye window, color your slots accordingly, then hit set.

and yes, you die the slot, so if you change items in that slot it will stay the color you changed it to unless you spend the pp on dye again and change it.

If you want to see what colors you can get, you can try it without actually having the dye. You cannot save it however if you do not have dye (but you can write the combinations down and see how many dyes you need to buy).

Your colors are limited by original armor color. If you have something a muddy green you will not get a pure red or yellow no matter how much you play with it. Also some items dye much easier than others. Golden efreet boots, for instance, dye beautifully. So play with the colors until you get a range you like. I've changed the colors I wanted on a toon because say purple would not work, all muddy hues, etc. I'm pretty picky about color.
