So in order to go from level 3 hate to level 5 for my swift belt NM how many Formors would I need to kill? I'm assuming that the ones in misareux coast and lufaise meadows are ok to kill for this as well, is that right?

Everything Resauchamet says is the same until he says

"Hmmm..." Then the following statement is what determines your hate level.

lvl 1 Fomor hate:
You still have a farily good head start, but they will not let up until they have found you and filled your heart with poison and pain.

lvl 2 Fomor hate:
They are close... It is only a matter of time before you have fallen within their reach.

lvl 3 Fomor hate:
Can you not feel the hands that reach up from the bottomless depths of hell? Can you not feel the gaze of a thousand eyes, glowing red with anger and hate?

lvl 4 Fomor hate:
The grip of evil is tightening on the very essence of what makes you who you are. Be forewarned, as it will not be long before you are confronted with a battle for more than just your life.

lvl 5 Fomor hate:
(Same as lvl 4. But you have enough to spawn "Swift Belt" NM. The only way to tell is by examining the Stale Draft in Sacrarium)

it is not quite 1:1 fomor/orc hate reduction. for every 5 fomor you kills, your fomor hate level goes up 1 level. i had to kill about 20 orcs just to get the hate reduced by 1 level.

shadows in eldime and fei yin will count towars fomor hate. a rdm found that out the hard way when his sneak was ineffective against kas. couple nights before he was in a subligar hunting party and went through about 50 fomors.

before my whm af i had level 1 fomor hate. after all that was done i had level 3 fomor hate, and i had to kill 40 orcs just to get hate back to level 2. level 3 fomor hate is one hate level below the point fomors and shadows become "true sound"

Resauchamet: You are an adventur...
I can smell the dark blood of the undead as it drips slowly from your soiled garments.
Resauchamet: Beware, my friend, for you are not alone in your journey. Lost spirits lurk in the shadow behind you, waiting for their
chance to rob you of your soul.
Resauchamet: Hmmm...
Resauchamet: You still have a fairly good head start, but they will not let up until they have found you and filled your heart with poison
and pain.
Resauchamet: Oh, poor child!
May the light of the Dawn Goddess lead you from the pitch-black dephts of darkness!

That's what he said when the VT Fomor Summoner in Phomiuna walked straight throught me and totally ignored me.

This man's messages vary according to the amount of Fomor Hate you have accumulated.

The variable part is the line after he goes:

"Hmmm..."

Then he says something about being delivered from darkness.

I'm not 100% sure, but by all indications so far for every 2 beastmen you defeat in Misreaux Coast or LuFaise Meadows, one Fomor's hate is erased from your character. Details appear to be as follows:

*You get hate if you do not call help on a Fomor and you are in the same party or alliance.

*You do not need to make the killing blow in either a Beastman fight or a Fomor one to reduce or acquire hate respectively.

*Beastmen fights are good for everyone in the party or alliance.

If I can find the links relavant to this post I'll edit them in here in the future.

Update: After having kept tight records on paper of every fomor kill, our alliance had 22 fomors defeated. I began with zero fomor hate and needed sneak by the end to avoid aggro. This NPC's message changed accordingly. Then, I went out and expected to kill 44 beastmen. After slaying 31, I went to check hate- and it was back at zero. I tested it by going to the aquaducts and walking around fomor without sneak. No hate.

So, for hard numbers, here's the breakdown:

22 Fomors --> 31 Beastmen = No Fomor Hate.

This suggests that the ratio of beastmen kills is much much lower than 2-to-1 as I had thought. It may even be 1-for-1, but I've been wrong before (see above ^^).

2nd Update:

After resetting hate and going back into the Aquaducts, we slew 11 Fomor. Sneak was needed at this point. Then, we slew 11 beastmen. I was very curious if this would reset hate. It did!

Hard numbers:

11 Fomor > 11 Beastmen = No Hate

This confirms the ratio as 1:1 with only remote possiblity it would be otherwise.

This is a relevant thread about fomor hate.

What does he say when your fomor hate is at 0? Or is 1 the lowest you can get?
