Gamescom may have come to an end, but the summer convention season isn't over just yet! PAX Prime will be held in downtown Seattle from August 26-28 and we'll have members of the ZAM team on the floor, including Director of Content Cody "Micajah" Bye. War Inc. Battlezone, a free-to-play shooter from independent developer Online Warmongers Group Inc., has entered open beta. You can register for the game and download it on the game's official site or pick it up on Steam or Xfire. In fact, Xfire is hosting a War Inc. Battlezone competition through July 28 with more than $6,000 worth of prizes up for grabs!

To see some War Inc. Battlezone gameplay footage, watch the debut trailer below. Ministry's song "Thieves" provides the soundtrack for the action, which is an added bonus.

If you're a fan of free-to-play online shooters, then you may want to keep an eye on War Inc. Battlezone. Independent game developer Online Warmongers LLC announced today that it has partnered with [a]list games to bring the third-person shooter to North America, Europe and Australia. The game's already available in Russia through a partnership with Syncopate.

Online Warmongers emphasizes that the game is a premium online shooting experience in a free-to-play package. "Once people play our game, their expectations for what free-to-play games can offer will change forever," said CEO Sergey Titov, who worked on the first Gears of War and League of Legends.
