Jagex Announces Relaunch of Herotopia

A couple weeks ago, Jagex announced that it had entered an agreement with Herotainment to publish Herotopia, a free-to-play browser-based game for children. Following that news, the superhero MMO has relaunched today with new content, activities and features. Here are the details:

"With today’s launch, Herotopia unveils a new Mission System, giving players more than 75 challenging quests to complete and five new mini-games, including daily Power Puzzles that test their creativeness, skill and knowledge of the world around them."

While the game is free-to-play, players can gain access to extra content with an all-access membership that costs $5.95 a month. Herotopia received the NAPPA Gold Award from the National Parenting Publications Awards in 2010. A judge said it was "a great ‘whole child’ teaching experience."
