Black Prophecy's U.S. Open Beta Begins

After almost two months of closed beta testing, today marks the launch of Black Prophecy's U.S. open beta! If you've been wanting to try out this free-to-play space combat MMO, now is the perfect time to jump into your ship. Mike B. aka Fony focused on Black Prophecy in a recent episode of the BFF Report, so be sure to watch that for his impressions and to see the game in action.

ZAM at E3: Roundup of SOE Coverage

Sony Online Entertainment's E3 live stream just ended, and we have compiled a wrap-up to give you an overview of what the company is showcasing at the convention. One of the most interesting announcements is that Station Access will soon by dropping to $19.99 per month from the current price of $29.99 per month! They also emphasized that you can still register for Fan Faire, which will be held from July 7-9 in Las Vegas.

Sadly, SOE is not talking about PlanetSide Next or EverQuest Next at E3. However, they are discussing DC Universe Online's Update 4; EverQuest II in 3D; Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures' squads and tower defense game; Free Realms' upcoming ranching feature; their new PAYDAY: The Heist shooter; and Magic: The Gathering - Tactics' first expansion. SOE Station Access Will Soon Drop to $19.99

Sony Online Entertainment just confirmed during their live E3 stream that Station Access will soon be dropping to $19.99 per month from the current price of $29.99 per month. That means you can get access to all of SOE's games for a little more than the price of one game subscription!

We expect SOE to release more details on the price cut in the near future. Will you be taking advantage of this lower Station Access price once it's implemented?

Video Showcases SW:TOR's Eternity Vault Raid

Are you interested in raiding in Star Wars: The Old Republic? BioWare is calling them Operations, and they just posted a video that showcases the Eternity Vault, which is a maximum level Operation. Here's the description of the raid:

"A terrible threat has been uncovered on the ice world of Belsavis; a danger so grave that it could make the conflict between the Republic and the Empire irrelevant. Groups of heroes must band together to venture into the ancient and deadly Eternity Vault—where an enemy older than both the Republic and the Empire has been contained… until now."

SOE Unveils PAYDAY: The Heist at E3

Sony Online Entertainment unveiled its latest game at E3, and it's a bit different from the fantasy titles that are generally associated with the company. PAYDAY: The Heist is a squad-based first-person shooter that puts players in the roles of career criminals. SOE is acting as publisher for the game, which is developed by Overkill Software.

Teams of four players will get to fight their way through six action-packed heists that dynamically change for every play-through. If you've ever played Left 4 Dead, then you'll understand the basic concept of the game.

PAYDAY: The Heist will be available later this year on the PlayStation Network and PC as a digital download. According to the announcement, it's a "AAA quality title for less than half the price of a retail game." Check out the screenshots in our gallery to see the game in action.

SOE's First Ever Live Cast from the E3 Floor!

New Warhammer 40K Teaser Trailer Released

THQ and Vigil Games have released a new Warhammer 40K: Dark Millennium Online teaser trailer! The E3 video has been posted on the game's official site. It's quite short and simply states that the MMO is "coming soon," but we'll take what we can get when it comes to information on this game. Watch it below!

The Warhammer 40K MMO was actually unveiled a year ago at E3 2010. Since that time, news has been sparse. The last announcement we heard was made back in February when THQ stated during a conference call that the game's launch window spans from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013. Only time will tell what "coming soon" truly means for Dark Millennium Online.

World of Tanks Invades E3, Unveils New Video

World of Tanks has invaded E3! Above you'll see a couple tanks parked outside the Los Angeles Convention Center, which demonstrates that Wargaming.net is passionate about their subject material.

If you'd prefer to see some virtual tanks, Wargaming.net has released a huge batch of new World of Tanks screenshots at E3, as well as a new clan wars trailer. You can view the screenshots in our gallery and watch the video below!

Also, in case you missed the news, Wargaming.net announced today that it's developing a game called World of Warplanes that features military aircraft from the 1930s through the 1950s. Maybe they'll show off some actual warplanes at E3 2012!
