Herbs probably sell better than potions when it comes to making money. You just need to check your AH to see what is best. For lower levels, i recommend swiftthistle so rogues can make their tea. It can go for crazy prices sometimes. For Horde I would recommend going to Arathi Highlands and collect whatever is there. Fadeleaf goes for a ton depending on how many farm it since Rogues need it for blinding powder and most of them choose a different profession than herbalism. Some rarer alchemy recepies can make money, for instance: frost oil needed for a quest in the Badlands and I believe a rep quest for someone. This recepie can be found in Alterac mountains, sold by a goblin on the wall next to the elite ogres (around the center of the map; lvl 36-37 leets). The recepie requires 4 Khadar's Whiskers and 2 Wintersbite (which can also be found in the same Alterac mountains). I usually get 2-4g just for one frost oil. You will have to check your own AH. Warlocks need a certain potion for their epic mount quest and that recepie can be bought in the UC (not sure of the alliance equivalent). This requires ghost mushrooms, which can be hard to come by, especially at low levels. You can sell your service to make them since it does not require a high level to craft, and have the lock supply the mats.

Another recommendation: Fish, fish and more fish.

Most of your decent potion recepies require fish. Stonescale eels are always a good bet. Try Ferlas (which now may be too low for you), or sometimes you can be lucky and get one or two in STV. Free action potions are always good sellers and all the mats can be found by the sea, stranglekelp and blackmouth oil (both of which are found a plenty around ratchet but may be difficult for alliance). Fire protection potions also sell well and require firefin snappers.
Or, you can always sell fish, no matter what your professions are.

At your level u can probably hit Gadzestan and get the receipe for a philosopher's stone and the iron to gold and mithril to truesilver transmutes. Make your philospoher's stone and do one a day (24h cooldown on the stone) and make a tidy profit on the AH if you have a minner supplying you or simply buy the iron or mithril bars off the AH.

Another option are low lvl potions used solely for leatherworking. The minor elixir of agility is a good one for this and can make at least 1g easily at a time with the only cost being an empty vial, and usually none on the AH to compete with. I believe shadow oil (?? recepie found at a 1000 Needles vendor for Horde, not sure alliance) is another leather working component and this is also a leather working mat.

Agility pots are usually good sellers too and the mats are usually not hard to come by.

And, as ChlKilt said: Healing and mana potions always sell well. My alchey is only in the 260's so I have not had any experience selling flasks (nor do I even have the recepie).
