Varies from server to server. Search for Sageblade, find the mats and then check each entry for the median price to give you a rough figure. I would question the wisdom of spending a large amount of cash so soon before TBC and the new drops.

12 arcanite bars
2 nexus crystals
2 flasks of supreme power
4 enchanted leather

Very costly for something that only adds +20 dmg, although the decrease in resists is nice. I personally wouldn't waste my money.

If you've already got the mats or can get them yourself I could see doing it, but no way would I get them out of the auction house.

the worst part is the nexus crystals, but if you bide your time you can get them for about 20-50 gold each. Your guild should have somebody who can make the flasks.... by far the most expensive part is the arcanite part.

There is a huge discrepency in what folks want out of the game, some want to raid and give a guild 2-4 hrs at a time to sitdown and raid, or others are PvP nuts. Yet the game has a middle ground, folks who do not want to sit and play the game for 2-4 hr streches of time, for that type of player; the sageblade is perfect. I used to sit on theese forums and bash it, and was put in my place by Guild Drama that made it so I never wanted to Raid ever again. I rerolled a new lock on a new server with the intention of not raiding, and it made me love the game again. Shy of paying some guild hundreds and hundreds of gold the sageblade is a way for a non raider or even a non hardcore player to get a nice epic soward.

P.S. The resist reducer is totaly exelent, combine with a rune or AV epic ring and never have a shadowpriest reisist fear again.

Well, I'm certainly not one of the "RAID OR DIE" people (even though I do raid), my point was simply that it really isn't worth the gold the mats cost. Like I said, if you have access to the mats, I can see getting one. Otherwise just go get a Rod of the Ogre Magi or something.

I'm not bashing it, it's just with TBC so close is it really worth sinking that amount of gold into a sword simply because it's purple? I personally don't think so.

I'd have to agree there. Unless you really want spell penetration, there's no real reason to get this sword, I'd prefer an Elemental Attuned Blade if I had to have a purple, but RoTOM is still relatively close for much lower cost.

Elemental attuned balde is a hell of a lot harder to get your fingers on. took me 27 trun ins to get mine, depending on class that is not a soloable effort(actualy it is not for anybody) but the sageblade can be a one person effort. Lastly, it is a soward and they look cool.
