Looking for opinions on BlacksmithingFollow

Hi all,

I'm a level 40 warrior and just made it to the point where I have to choose between weaponsmithing or armorsmithing. I've read through the past 15 pages, all the way back to April, but still don't know what I want to do.

What I would like is opinions on each branch. The pros and the cons. I am thinking that armorsmithing is the best way to go, but I also love swords..lol.

I am in a guild, but it's name only, we don't really do anything as a group. So this will only benefit me.

Thanks in advance for any advice and comments!

My hunter has chosen weaponsmith/axesmith for the Dawn's Edge. He just turned 60, but has not yet made it into a group for the quest to get these plans. I plan to dual wield them eventually after getting +15 AGI enchants. With this tree, I can also make the Arcanite Reaper if so desired.

My advice to you is to look through the weapons and armor available from the different trees and see which ones you would like to have. Go to www.wow-loot.com and review the gear available for your warrior. If the best gear for a given item slot can be easily obtained (20~30 percent drop rate) from an instance, there is no need to take a skill so you can craft something inferior.

In the end, you will still be able to make nice filler items that are available to both trees. (Ornate/Heavy Mithril and Imperial Plate armor are examples) Another consideration is crafting for gold. If there is no clear choice based on items you want, then see which weapons or armor can be sold for a profit in the auction house.

ACK! I spoke to the guy who helps with the decision. I clicked on armorsmith thinking that I might get more info and I would at least get asked if I were sure. Nope, I was made an armorsmith right then and there! So I guess that's that!

Lol, thank you for your advice. I was probably going to pick armor anyway, so I'm ok with it.
