I like mining but its hard to level it up any tips?

Learn fishing. It's profitable and can support your non-gold making professions. That way, you don't have to drop anything.

Low-level mining is one of the most profitable low-level skills. Put on your running boots and circle around Loch Modan and Dun Morogh until you cant do it anymore. This will net you a ton of copper ore. Smelt it to bars and sell in on the AH on Friday/Saturday. What you will get depends on your server, but I regularly get 1 G a stack. Not big money but 88 Stacks and youhave your mount money (allowing for discounts). Oh, buy 4 of the biggest bags you can afford, runecloth (14 slots) are often around 2G. Also create a bank alt character, level him to 5 and plant him near a postbox in a capital city. Send him your smelted metal to sell. Mail is a lot quicker than flying your main character back every time your bags are ful

As for levelling your skill I point you to:

It should help.

If you are doing a lot of PVP you might consider changing Blacksmithing for Engineering, lots of nice PVP tricks to be had there.

If you just want money, change Blacksmithing to skinning to bring in a bit of extra cash.
