Without being facetious you need to sell what people want to buy.
My to raiding characters buy Nature/Fire protection potions. They also buy Mana/Healing potions. See what they need to make them. If you can buy the mats on the AH and still make a profit, do that. If not farm the mats and make them. I note that Bloodvine sells well in herb form, from 25-50g a piece! If you have th scythe and some stealth maybe you could farm some in ZG.

With a day long farm, you could easily make that kind of gold just selling the high end herbs like Dreamfoil and Icecap.

I never have that kind of time, though.

Wondrous says it all,

But for the record when your server is mature (meaning lots of 60's doing MC nax etc.) then the high end herbs sell like hell.

I'm a miner and BS myself but some of my friends are in a "MC"guild and collecting herbs for the guild and sometimes they sell them at AH.

Good thing is when a raid is planned ppl will buy the herbs whatever the costs just keep in mind they will buy the cheapest at AH so some buyouts maybe needed to get a normal price-average

I try to consider myself on of the most active alchemists on Drak'thul, if you are on that server im sure you have seen my shouts. I offer discounts below AH price for nearly everything. I never actually spend time just gathering herbs, I grab them as I level or if I see them on the way to somewhere. Most popular potions are (in order): major health, mongoose, swiftness, greater fire protection, greater nature protection, free action, followed by greater agil and other cheaper pots. I have friends in many of the end game guilds that buy pots from me for many of their friends. Get connected with people and make sure you have the expensive recipes. You will earn the money you spent on them back in no time. I very easily make 300-500g a week. My max in 1 day was 900g profit (1400g payment but I had to buy a few herbs). Hope this helps in some way/shape/form.

EDIT: 1 more thing, transmute every single chance you can. If no one wants to buy, go get a crystal and a thorium bar and transmute it. Then, the next time someone shouts to buy a transmute, you trade them the bar for the mats and you are even closer to your next chance for transmute. voila easy money!

low end herbs sell out almost instantly on my server, and ofcourse, the high end herbs will sell too, especially when people start to do MC, and start needing the Greater Fire Protection potions... for me myself, im an a guild with alot of 60s, and because of this, my Alchemy is 300 at lvl 40, which allowed me to take up Enchanting too, meaning i am making more and more money, at lvl 40 im sat on around 800g with one or two epics, and a nice full set of Blue items. My best sellers are most notably, the arcanite transmute, which can sell whenever its available.. and any of the greater potions, one or two others ive managed to sell well, are the Rage potions, helps selling these over honor weekends for wsg etc.
