Leveling mining...Follow

#1 Sep 20 2006 at 11:22 AM Rating: Decent
I'm a 57 character, and just switched to mining for gathering. I have done mining before, but never to a high level extent. My question was, how do I level it quickly? I know at a low level I could level it very quickly through palemane rock... where else could I find tin caves and so forth? Any tips or suggestions?

Here's how I did it. First, I went to one of the starting areas and mined copper until I hit level 65. At that point I could mine tin, lesser bloodstone and incendite. Good supplies of tin can be found in Loch Modan (alliance). Incendite is found in some caves in the Wetlands and bloodstone in some caves in eastern Arathi. I just mined these until I hit 125. I then mined iron until I hit 175, the level for mithril. You basically have to mine mithril until you hit level 230. Arathi is a good area for iron. Most of my mithril I got from The Charred Vale in STM. It's one of the best areas for mining that I've found. You can basically loop in circles and get copper, tin, iron, mithril and some truesilver.

If you're a high enough level (read: over 30 for Horde, and over 40 for Alliance), mine for mithril in Thousand Needles. Tons of it in caves. Great place for iron too. Get a circuit going and you'll skill up pretty quickly.

At level 57 though, you might want to circle Tanaris for Mithril. Lots of it there.

Good luck with your mining!
