Starter Nation TAKEOVER EventFollow

#1 Dec 09 2008 at 11:22 AM Rating: Excellent
Ever thought to yourself, "Man, it would be great if I could warp directly to any starter zone!" Bastok to Windy, Windy to Sandy, Sandy to Bastok. No more teleports followed by chocobo rides. No more airships. Just talk to your regional teleporter and BAM, there you are!

The only problem? Starter zones have a fresh supply of newbies. They keep that nation's influence up high, and you from getting your much-needed teleports. Well my friends, that is all about to change. Coming to a Vana'diel-near-you....

FableUnity will take over the world!!!!

Ooooooookay maybe not. But we will be taking over the starter areas!

Now, FableUnity may be one of the biggest (and oldest) social linkshells out there. But there's still things even we can't do. Take over entire starter zones by ourselves...yeah, I think not. That's why we need your help! With all of us together, we can take over the starter zones. That way EVERYONE can get the main city outpost warps. But to make that happen, we all need to work together.

The schedule:

BASTOK:
Saturday 12/13 -- Bastok takes over San d'Oria
Saturday 12/20 -- Bastok takes over Windurst

WINDURST:
Saturday 12/13 -- Windurst takes over Bastok
Saturday 12/20 -- Windurst takes over San d'Oria

SAN D'ORIA:
Saturday 12/13 -- San d'Oria takes over Windurst
Saturday 12/20 -- San d'Oria takes over Bastok

To participate, you don't need an FU pearl. Just show up where your nation will be, and do one of two things:

a) Get signet and whomp monsters as a low-level character, or
b) Sell arrows to the outpost vendors (most towns sell cheap iron/wooden arrows from NPCs)

The important part will be getting the word out. Come Saturday 12/13, people from Windurst might start getting scared when they are being overrun by San d'Orians. Remember...this is to help everyone get the main outpost warps! It won't work if national pride gets in the way!

Get the word out, see you there, and FU!

This man speaks the truth. Everyone wants the starter zones, no one's got the gumption to set up the event to get 'em. Well now you don't have to--just show up!

Everyone gets the stater nations, everyone has fun, everyone wins. Get the word out, we need as many people to help with this as possible. For more details, visit http://www.fableunity.com

See you there!

I'm onboard and I'll get a couple of my shells to help out. A thought:

If we could get any of our European or Japanese friends to translate some of these to other RL nations, that might go a long way to making this happen. I'm not sure what the NA/JP/EU ratio is on the server but I would wonder if just NAs could pull this off. Worth a try though!!!

That would be awesome if anyone knows of any (esp JP). Spread the word to as many linkshells as you can. Most important, make sure they know which nation takes what. With everyone working together, there's no reason we can't do this :)

Oh and Bart, I think I may have had a typo. You don't want to sell the arrows, but trade them. My bad!

Just a reminder that this is tomorrow! Everyone benefits from this, but we really do need everyone's help. Even if all you want to do is direct traffic :)

Tomorrow's schedule is...

Bastok takes San d'Oria
Windurst takes Bastok
San d'Oria takes Windurst

See you there!

Well so far this morning I managed to help the bar move the slightest bit. This over for Sandy > Windy. I leveled BLm from 1-10 and DRG from 5-7 so far. I also traded 16 stacks ( 4,000 gil only) of wooden arrows to the Outpost Warp taru.

Please help out so we can all get these warps.

I wanted to thank everyone who helped out with this. I know many of you went in to fight, while others spent a good amount of gil trying to get the nations influence moved over. Even with all that, it looks like we may fall short of our goal. In the end, we just didn't get enough support.

Still, I wouldn't feel bad. Not as many people joined in as I'd hoped. But even with that, we were able to make a good dent in ALL nations. You guys should be super-proud. Maybe we didn't get enough to make it happen, but we did get a lot. And that was regardless of experience, level, and linkshell. That in itself was a big feat.

I'd like to try this again next week. If you could, please get the word out that we're gonna do this on Saturday. If all goes well, maybe we'll get it this time around :D

Why do you only do it on Saturday? Aren't the conquest results tallied on Sunday morning? This means you could work on the zones not only on Saturday, but also Monday-Friday.

#12REDACTED, Posted: Dec 16 2008 at 3:28 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) wow. i haven't play in a year and some, yet some how i am still annoyed by hearing of anything having to do with fu, it's like, you guys run around screaming douche bag things like "FU! ah hahahaha FableUnity rules" as a foreshadowing of the douchey activities that are about to unfold and be carried out by really, really annoying children, or at least you hope it's all children, but you know that at least one or two of them are 27+ men living in they moms basement covered in empty pringles tubes that have been collected and stacked into something resembling something from "insert mediocre sci-fi tv series here"

Your loss, Ampyre. FableUnity was one of Shiva's longest lasting and largest social linkshells. Too bad you never gave yourself the chance to get to know anyone or understand what we endeavored to accomplish.

This was not FU's final event, but it is one of the last things we wanted to try to do. The final event is on 12/28 and is open to all past and present FU members. Please visit the forums/website for details.

Hey guys! Nope, this isn't FU's last event. Like Bart said, we just wanted to do this to help out a few more folk before the doors close. The final event involves running around in subligar, having fun, and forcing me to do obscene things with Sea Horror. Pretty much everything Ampyre hates about the LS :)

Now that being said, we're going to re-work this event and try it again. We were able to make a sizeable dent in the conquest influence, but not quite get an entire area. Hopefully when we adjust it, it'll take care of that.

Stay tuned!

Man Amp. It is a shame you didnt give FU a try. You ended up missing out on alot of good things.

As far as I knew, noone ever went outside FU screaming. We as a linkshell did alot for the shiva server.

I hope I can make this last event. I seem to miss them all but want to be there for the last one.
