did this event end up not happening at all?
It wasn't an 'event'; it was one man doing his best to make a few peoples xmas wishes come true, and to the best of my knowledge, he did as much as he was able to and some people got what they wanted. Reading this thread from start to finish, I get the feeling that a lot of people were far more expectant than they should have been and that many people who didn't get anything are feeling cheated. I don't know if everyone read the whole thread or not, but Starilae, the proverbial Santa Clause here, was in a bad accident (look mid-thread) and had a lot of difficulty getting things done after that. It was really the gesture that was important in the first place and in that I think Star succeeded. How many people got their wishes, I'm not sure, but I know he started out with good intentions and did the best he could.
I've got a group of people very keen on helping me through the promyvions now, and since that's all I was realisticly after, I'm happy with that :)
Sniff no Hauberk for me, oh well.

One person at least put the THOUGHT into it all, and, as said, she can't do it all herself...
While many asked for game things, I got what I was after this christmas.
I went up to NY, I leave to FL tomorrow, to see family and friends. While much did not happen with family, I was able to see my two best friends. Both females, and sisters, one of them I've liked for a long, long time.
Sadly, my time with them this trip is over, but I couldn't have spent my time better with them..
