Optical hat, help please??Follow

Let me know a date and time, preferably a couple days ahead of time, and I'll come help. I can come as WAR or RDM. I might be able to get a couple friends to come too, if I have enough notice. I'm usually on in the evenings.

Forming your own group is going to be your best bet. Optical Hat runs are a pain, because each hat takes a minimum of 15 minutes (that's how long before the ??? respawns) plus however long it takes to kill the mob. It's tough to get people who aren't getting anything out of it to help with anything a lot of the times, so a typical Optical Hat run ends up being 5 or 6 people who need hats, plus a bunch of people they managed to convince to help. The problem is the people who are helping are rarely committed enough to stay for the two or three hours it takes to get all the hats, on top of the time it takes just to form the alliance and travel to the spawn point. The more hats you have to get, the less likely it is that you'll actually get them all, and the more likely it is that your alliance will have problems and fall apart. For those reasons, it's unlikely you'll find a group that's already going that is willing to have you come along.

Pick a date and time that is convenient for you and your friends. Get as much help as you can get, then post the date and time here and get people to help. That's usually the best way to do it. Try to limit the number of hats you need as well. People are a lot more willing to help out with one or two hats than the usual 5 or 6 that most Optical Hat alliances end up needing.

At a minimum, you'll want two full parties in their 70's. You should try to get two Ninjas to alternate back and forth to tank, a couple stunners, two or three healers, and a BLM or two. Fill out the rest with various damage dealers. A BST to handle adds is also very helpful. The more people you have, the better -- as long as they don't all need hats.

All the more reason to set up your own run, and make sure all the party leaders are people you trust.

hrmm Jeuno shouts for Ohat runs are iffy. Haku isn't exactly easy; I wouldn't trust anybody but my LS to do a run, much less volunteer to help. Sorry =/

But, yes I do know what your saying, that's why when I check, I usually see if I know someone first and ask them who the leader is that is in the Den. I know what the party set up consists of, etc, what to do...Just getting people there is another story. I have the tanks, and my set to go, so I have 9-10 that are sure to go..

Obviously you know I'll go, and probably Dagaz and Jera too. I'm willing to bet you can add Zidana to that, and probably CRMZON as well.

What we really need this time is someone who knows the way, and a really firm set of instructions so we don't get strung out all over the place.

UNCTGTG as you know, i was there with you on that run you had. I will go again anytime. MY levels are raising as we speak, im just about 67 (2ktnl) . ANd its all i plan on doing. You can lump me into that pt of LS friends that would help you with Links. I too also need this. But im a MNK im patient. I can wait. give heads up, before i be there promply as i was last time.
