The anime is fast catching up so the GMG arc is actually going to have to concluded in the next few months. They need approximately 6 weeks lead time to complete an anime episode from start to finish (script > planning/layout > draw cells/do music > color > voice acting > assembly/post production) , so the filler arc is planned based on the mangaka's time estimates of when an arc will be complete. (That way they don't have to pause midway in the arc for random filler episodes, or worse, pause the anime entirely.)

I have to say, they've done a good job of stretching out the arc though. Things that felt rushed in the manga got a more extensive treatment, like the Erza Monster Cleanout getting a whole episode. Yet it hasn't gone to DBZ levels of pointless stretching, and things are still moving along.

Yeesh.

So imagine how much magic Erza's already gone through, and now she's whipping out her Second Origin container? <3 the gobsmacked expression on Minerva's face.

I was more right than I realized.

Fairy Tail anime will be going on hiatus at the end of March.

Edit: Oh, and Kubi Tite just tweeted that the Bleach anime is returning to TV Tokyo.

Naruto:blah blah blah Filler, flashback ception

Bleach:His dad was a Captain, The ice kid was a subordinate, his Vice captain was the big breasted Vice captain, and his uncle was Rukia's captain dude(or some relation), Kaien shiba, that turned all hallow in Hecto Meundo.

BTW there is some MAJOR hard retconing going to happen.

So when his dad showed up to fight Aizen no one said anything? Ice boy didnt say anything? How are they going to handwave that. Just Meh, its a troll but its lightweight compared to what I feel is coming. There's a great disturbance in the force.

Flashbacks! Flashbacks as far as the eye can see.

Naruto: I did like the Rock Throw Message near the end. The whole flashback scenario reads like Romeo & Juliet. Two families that hate each other, their kids not knowing exactly why yet wanting to be together. The only difference being we know they won't be nice enough to kill themselves.

Bleach: I don't even remember the fight to remember whether anyone reacted to Ichidad's appearance. Either way, handwaves are par for the course for the series. Seriously, next we'll find out that Ichigo's mom and Uryu's dad are brother and sister, who are both some how related to Chad and Orihime's parents in some way.

One Piece: Main crew already up to shenanigans. Blind swordsman angle looks interesting to me.

Also that Issin is actually Kaien, Kukaku, and Gantu's father, making them Ichigo's siblings; which would then explain why Rukia though that Ichigo was similar to Kaien.

Fairy Tail: I feel cheated out of an epic 1 on 1 battle, but I guess it was needed as proof. Ok my next guess for the upcoming battle is that Acnologia uses the energy from the Eclipse 2 canon to rip a hole in time to the "War of the Dragons" and brings the 10k dragon army through to the future.

I feel a little cheated as well, but not because of the lack of Sting vs Gajeel, but from the fairly anticlimactic Erza vs Minerva.

The whole rip a hole in time slash space by using the good guy's efforts to prevent the event sounds pretty reasonable.
For some weird reason I find myself more curious about how Lector crawled out of Milliana's ***.

Ya, that was a pretty anti-climatic Fairy Tale.

Nothing really happened in Bleach, the big reveal was last chapter.

Also, I think the final battle in Gantz has started, if anyone cares. However, with the pace they put out new chapter, said battle could last a year.

Just call him Lemmiwinks. But seriously when Minerva was beaten she probably lost control over the pocket space she we keeping Lector in, and Milliana just managed to spot him.

I noticed it in the previous chapter, like the first or second page. I originally thought it was the hood of her cape and she was talking about blood on her back or something.

I watched the Fairy Tail movie over the weekend, and caught up with the anime. The movie is more of a short story arc, and I didn't really enjoy it all that much. I also noticed while watching episodes that they use a lot, a LOT of blue. At a minimum it's the dominant hair color.

Bleach: At first I was like /sigh boring flash back, then I was like 'Called it' to the Ishada Family thing, Finally I facepalmed at the hollow thing. I mean seriously? Huh, so w/e Hallow that is looks strikingly similar to Ichigo when he got dead.

AND the trolling begins anew...

He's probably going to pull a Naruto and claim that a piece of the Hollow infected Isshin, and then transferred to Ichigo when he was conceived.

Also who wants to bet that the maid turns out to be Uryu's mother.

copy pasta of something interesting about the latest bleach chapter:

Here's another parallel for you.

They made a very clear point to make sure you were aware of the fact that raining was associated with that VL appearing.

Zangetsu hates the rain. Every time it rains inside Ichigo's inner world, he goes Hollow very soon after.

That would be a sign of foresight, or at least subtle parallels like that show good writing.

This is Kubo. Coincidence.

It looks like he merged with Sting and grew out his hair to mid-back length.

Fusion Dance, awesome.

I get the feeling that at the end of the arc Sting and Rogue will be part of Fairy Tail.

The new FT crack theory is that all the dragon slayers were put to sleep when their "dragons disappeared" and it wasn't really 7 years (now 14 years) ago, but 407 years ago when the dragons disappeared because Zeref was sealed. They put their pet humans to sleep so that they would someday wake up and be able to defeat Acnologia for good. That would explain several things: Why Zeref recognized Natsu, why Natsu and Gajeel couldn't pass the "80+ years old" runes, and why people act like there weren't dragons hanging around all over the place just under a decade or two ago.
