Short notice, but...Follow

I don't know why I didn't think of asking here before. :s

Anyway, this weekend (Fri-Sun), I've been planning to go camp Charybdis in Sea Serpent Grotto, for my Joyeuse. This is a high level Kraken NM, that spawns on an 8-12 hour timer.

I've been planning to camp it on Friday and Saturday so that I might be able to get its ToD, and then bring others to help me fight it when the time is right. However, the options of who I could bring are very limited, since it seems like PLDs cannot tank this thing without a lot of healing backup, and PLDs are pretty much the only tanks I know.

So, I've got a request. If there's any high level NIN (or THF), and possibly a BRD, that think that they can take this mob on, I am willing to pay out half a million gil to each of these people if they can successfully nab me a Joyeuse. Paying out 1 million gil for an endgame RDM weapon is worth it, to me. If we get enough other people to come such that the NIN-BRD setup is not necessary to win, that also works, but unfortunately I won't be able to pay half a million to each person. I will however try to make it worthwhile to each person that helps.

Any time I'm online on Friday and Saturday, I'll probably be in SSG trying to get a pop or a ToD on this guy, so please send me a /tell if you're interested in this. Thanks!

A 57 BRD should be high enough to help. You basically need to double mambo (or march) the THF (or NIN) and double ballad the RDM. If you can also land Elegy, all the better, but you won't do that at 57.

EDIT: The THF should also either have melody earrings or Bat earrings for the added evasion.

Thanks for the offers, folks. I might have a NIN for this; got a friend in my LS who says he knows a NIN from his Dynamis shell; just a matter of catching him when he's online and seeing if he's interested. Hopefully when/if I manage to get a ToD I can manage to pull something together within 7-8 hours afterward.

I will compensate anyone that comes along and gets me the Joyeuse, though. I refuse to be a deadbeat. XD

EDIT: To be honest though, right now my biggest worry is
whether or not I'll be able to log on and stay online at all this weekend >_>

I now have a ToD, but in about 8 hours, I expect very few NA players, if any, to be online... >_<

I need some advice on how to go about camping this NM, because it doesn't seem like I'll be able to get the Joyeuse without severely butchering my sleeping patterns and/or BSing my way into some high level linkshell ; ;

Ya, I've given up on this upcoming spawn (in about 2 hours it will have been 8 hours since ToD), it's just way too late for most NA players. Gonna give it another go tomorrow. XD
