Problems logging inFollow
OK so I was pt'ing for a while leveling my thief. I got done and started to log out when my router started to crap out on me. I reset it and attempted to log back in but I can't get past the play Online log in menu. Anyone else having problems? Is the server down?
try resetting your router again
are you on cable? sometimes you need to dissconnect the power cord and the cable coax for a minute the restart
can you get on the regular internet? might just be your ISP if you can't access that either

I also have had problems as of late logging in, and I fear the worst is around the corner. Sometimes i'm able to log in easily enough, then there are other times where I spend a good 20 minuites coaxing my PS2 and whatever else to let me log in. Is this a sign that my PS2 or the hard drive is starting to call it quits on me?? any input would be great.
Lots of people are having issues loggin in right now.
KK, I was just kinda checking to see if anyone else was having troubles logging in as well. I'm hoping this can be fixed soon.

Yep, I can't log in either. I was able to log in a few hours ago though.
I've been trying for 2 hours without success... At least I'm not the only one.
There are plenty of posts about this in the General FFXI section guys, a lot of people are having problems connecting, myself included.
I just hope the people who are still online have bought some of my Pear Au Lait, I have too much of the stuff and it needs to go!

Yeah, I've been trying to log in for about 2.5hours now while studying stuff for class (so I'm not completely just staring at the screen, lol.) But, I just think it is a bummer how we cannot get onto something we pay for. :( Oh well..maybe it's a disguised benefit for me that I am actually studying! LoL.

well atleast i wasn't the only one
Yeah, I was getting pissed at my computer, but it turns out the servers were down for emergency maitanence. It sucks cause its down for another 2 hours from now, but I'm happy it wasn't my connection, cause thats a pain in the *** trying to figure out what cord is loose.
FYI
Maintainence is extended another 2 hours. Expected time is now 2am PDT.
Somehow I don't think the servers will be up until the update is over with tomorrow sometime.

That means IF they come back up, there will be about 6 hours before they go back down again....
