I come to humbly request help in obtaining my items for Genkai 1. I'm level 47 PLD currently. I have not collected any of the items, so I need all 3.

I am looking for anyone who needs the items, as well as anyone who is willing to help collect them.

Due to my play schedule, I will most likely not be able to get all 3 in one night. It is short notice, but I would like to begin tomorrow night, Wednesday 9.07.05 from 9p EST to Midnight EST. Meet in Port Jeuno by the HP and we'll head out to Garliage first to get the bomb coal.

I'm hoping for luck on my side and be able to obtain the coal and the mold on this first night (praying), and continue on Friday (same time frame) into Eldieme Necropolis for the papyrus.*

*locations may change due to time and suggestions by more experienced members

I cannot compensate anyone in any way, I am merely asking if anyone is willing to go out of kindness. I can only offer a /bow and a {Thank You}.

Edit: Typo on the date.

I *should* be online around that time, but give me a tell whenever and I'll see if I can be of help.

I'm 69RDM so I'm able to take on any of the itemdroppers, but Garlaige Citadel requires 4 people to open the banishing gates. But since I and some other members in my LS need to do an escort quest in Garlaige anyway, I could probably get some of them to come along for this.

Anyway, ya, send some tells my way.

Please send me a /tell.
At the moment, I am not aware of any particular plans that might constrain me (that is, LS events or whatnot), so I expect that I ought to be free to help.

Technically, one needn't even open the first Banishing Gate in Garlaige Citadel to get to the explosures, if I remember correctly (forgive me if I am mistaken about this).

I can drop through one of the holes in the floor to get below, and solo explosures while you wait in safety near the entrance to lot on the coal as it drops. I am pretty sure I've done it that way before, for other people.

Thank you all for your kind offers. I'll mark down names, and give you a /tell tomorrow evening.

Also, any of you could let me know what extra items I may need to bring, i.e. powders, oils, holy water, etc. I'd like to be sure I'm not any more of a burden than I need be.

For anyone who wishes to come that also has other quests in the related areas, I am all for quest consolidation, so by all means, do what you need to get done as well.

    Again, thank you all!

Added note: For those who come, I'll warn you now that I do not use a keyboard while playing. If I am slow to respond, or in crowded areas such as Jeuno, I get particularly laggy and causes many typos. Please forgive me now.

Very quietly... I play after everyone else has gone to bed (to not take away from family time). I'm on PS2, and my wife is asleep next to me. If I wake her tapping along on a keyboard, I'm as good as dead.

It's really not bad, and after a year & half, you get used to it. I can type along at a decent speed with softkey, and as long as there isn't too much chaos, I can manage with my screen being half covered. It does mean that if I don't answer for a while, I either need to see something and can't pull up softkey, or it's a long answer that takes a min. to type. Laggy places like Jeuno though, are terrible for it. The curser jumps from letter to letter, buttons don't push, an yoor sntanc loks much liie thid.

If I must talk a lot while inside Jeuno, I try to stick to my MH where I don't get lag. Otherwise, I keep it to a min. until I'm out of town.

A big Thank You! to everyone who came to my aid last night.

Fynlar, Andi, Tianna and please pass it on to those who you brought with you. As well, my thanks to other friends who came but don't read here.

Though we weren't able to get the last item, I really hadn't expected as much in my limited time. I was quite excited that we accomplished all that we did! I couldn't have done it without you all!

If anyone is available and interested, I hope to try again for the papyrus on Friday.

Also, thank you to everyone who offered their help here. I checked names at 9, and got those who were on then. Everyone who came seemed to bring more people, so we had more than enough, and I didn't feel the need to interrupt anyone elses evening.

I'm sorry. I got on rather late (after the kids got to bed) and then was roped into a key hunt in the Sacrarium with my linkshell.

You need papyrus? I hear Monks are pretty good for that. Do feel free to /tell me anytime and (again) if I'm free (which, to tell you the truth, is pretty much most of the time), I will go break some bones for you.

Sorry Chluke. I haven't been on all week due to some tech problems with the Jeep I just bought on Saturday. Its been in and out of the shop. Filling out paper work, the whole shebang. I haven't even had a chance to TOUCH my PS2, let alone FF.

If you see me on and need help with anything, give me a /t.

    (Assuming I am not waiting at the dealership to get my Jeep fixed.) -_-;

Please, no need to apologize. For the 2 items that were gotten, and the short time left to try for the papyrus, there were plenty of people on hand. I completely understand when things come up. I do appreciate your offers, and I will keep you in mind next time I attempt to go :)

You know Miles, I like that avatar. It's bizarre enough to make me crack up every time I see it. >_>

And I apologize for how useless I was most of the time in Eldieme, people were going all over the place and there were some people constantly messing with the doors leaving me stuck, plus I was having connection problems that day.

I'm up for another go, but may I make the recommendation of going up through to the Beaucedine Glacier entrance to the Necropolis next time around? It takes a little time to get there, but I think the kills there are more easily reached, and best of all, there's no doors, so people shouldn't get separated. It happens to be the place where I got my G1 paper, oh so long ago... before our party got wiped by four Kas. But with the help we'll probably have that area shouldn't be dangerous.

I'm going to bump this one too.

I've gotten a few other things done over the last couple of days that I've played, but I still need that elusive paper.

If anyone wishes to assist and is available Friday night from 9p-Midnight EST, let me know.
