I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
Walking through the streets of Soho in the rain
He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook's
Going to get himself a big dish of beef chow mein

I used to have a City of Heroes character named "The London Werewolf". He was dressed in a pair of jeans and a grey t-shirt with a faded yellow crescent moon on it and had some cheesy backstory about being bitten in the 1800's and killing his fiancee and becoming a hero out of remorse and blah, blah.

Within thirty seconds of my making him, someone ran up to be and began verbally abusing me for make "a Wolverine clone". Smiley: confused

I guess what confused me is that I'm not a big comics person but I never saw Mr. Wolverine look like this dude. Yeah, the claws obviously but that applies to anyone who takes a claw set and personally I'd have rather they looked like natural claws but whatcha gonna do? But it's not like I put a cigar in his mouth, gave him giant shaggy sideburns and put him in yellow spandex.

I'm surprised that some idiots made it that big of a point to harass you about that character.

I was in a group last weekend with *two* "waiting to be banned" characters. One was questionable. The name was "Ms. Tik Phoenix". Nothing horrible there. But the costume was pretty much an exact replica of the classic Jean Grey Phoenix. At a minimum, they'd have to make her change the costume a bit.

The other one was blatant. Name was "Akuaman". Looked exactly like the DC character with only a slightly differently spelled name. I mentioned that he'd likely get nailed for that, and the guy actually thought that since the name was spelled different, they couldn't do anything to him. Um... Yeah, right buddy.

Oh. Scary thing about the thread title. When I read it, I immediately started singing the darn song! Hmmmm...

Ironicly, my only actual "homage" (aka rip-off) character, a clone of Oasis from the Sluggy Freelance comic who I named "Override B-1" only received positive tells from folks.

Go figure.

I actually thought to myself, "This *** will probably write back something semi-cutesy, like 'Mission Accomplished' or some such tripe." Then I silently berated myself for being such a pessimistic *****. Come to find out I should trust my gut. I'm like, psychic.

I don't think you understand. I just like the thought of you gouging your eyes out.

At least then you wouldn't be able to post any more.

You dont make werewolves in CoH, you take them to CoV. Once you are 20 you can set up a transformation bind and switch from human to werewolf. Yes I know claws are a stalker set, but you can change your story that you liked killing so much, you constantly ambush people and eat their spleens.
