I use the ellipses way to often. See I would have normally used it right there but since I was talking about it I caught myself. *refrains from using the ellipses*

Apparently, so is the correct usage of the "too", "to" and "two" homonyms.

Like most Asylumites, I have a pet peeve with regards to grammar. More specifically, the blatant incorrect use of the comma in place of all other punctuation. I thought that this was an anomaly when I first saw it done by a woman on another forum. I have now seen it done yet again by what seems to be a girl in the OOT forum found here. What possesses these people to insert commas where there needn't be any and to replace periods with sometimes three consecutive commas? Is this a female only phenomenon? What school system teaches this?

Did you start this thread just because of something i said obvisiously wrong in the other forum ,or am i missing something here ?

It's more about the commas rather than the actual word or sentence structure. Why do you use so many commas?

I'm going to hope that there are some character encoding issues causing something you type to show up as commas to most of us.

If that isn't the case, surely you know you type a lot of commas?

U guys are rating me down because i dont have over 1000 posts yet or something ? Smiley: smile

Let me be honest ,i dont know why i used that many COMMAS in that post ,but when i looked at it after you guys mentioned it i was actually able to see what u mean by that hehe.
On the other hand ,i didn't took the time to fix it after,cause i didn't really think it would be that annoying to people ;P

Seamy :)
Not comma placement moran. Re-read the OP after you get some reading comprehension skills.
#48REDACTED, Posted: Mar 16 2006 at 1:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) My comprehension isn't lacking, but your memory perhaps is! Still cracking me up!!!

Comma placement != comma usage.

Smiley: oyvey Too bad you are the only one in this thread who just does not get it.

#50REDACTED, Posted: Mar 16 2006 at 1:54 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Maybe so. But either you all are completely **** rententive regarding commas on a forum board (which cracks me up), or you think being catty to someone is a big joke (which doesn't crack me up). If the latter, then you know being catty in a formum thinking it is funny, isn't necessarily going to be funny to anyone else.
