After the first speedup, the game eerily reminds me of Nightracer (the old C64 game).

Did it again with a horrible computer, and got 1,613,465, because the frames went down to maybe 4 frames a second when it got hard.
Second try on a decent computer, got 626,575. It was the 4th speed up where stuff starts flying around in the sky. I got momentarily distracted... and that was the end of that.
