Has anyone seriously looked at who is making your food in a fast food restaurant. There are some seriously scary f'in people in there. Next time you head to Wendy's, McDonalds or wherever the hell you go, look at the fat slob, with greasy hair, who has not showered in about 3 months making your burger. He will look over and smile at you after he scratches his **** and the puts the bun on your burger.

Even better, the non-English speaking broad at the cash register. You say you want "Fries" and she repeats "Apple Pie" sixteen f'in times. You just get so frustrated you say "F it" and take the god damn apple pie.

I'm a McDonald's and Taco Bell guy myself...I don't stare that the wrapper long enough to notice it has anything written on it, though. Smiley: grin

On a serious note...

Taco Bell wrappers don't really have all that junk on it, actually. All it really has is their logo and the name of whatever the heck your eating. Not even their plastic cups have ads on it other than the name of the joint.

Now that I think about it...Taco Bell and KFC both don't really do the corny catch phrases...or maybe they do and just don't really do much with it. Taco Bell HAD the chihuahua...but it's gone now. Smiley: frown

I miss that doggy.

...and with that...I'm in the mood for Taco Bell.

Portillo's is teh yum as well. However, it costs like $9.75 for a beef sandwich, fries and drink and takes them twenty minutes to make it so it's not on my usual lunch rotation. More of a specialty thing.

There appear to be two here in Columbus.
Two what? Culver's?

They're less 'greasy' than most fast food joints I've been to. I put greasy in quotes because sometimes the issue isn't excess grease on your burgers from FastFoodPlace001 but that your burger patty is dried into leather. Culver's is typically a good eat.

I tried to get my wife to stop there on our way home from Illi last weekend, but she would have none of it.

Yeah, two Culver's. I think 3 or 4 in Ohio total.
I won't rule out giving it a shot, but not today.
I mainly go there for their non-burger selections when I'm all burger'd out. Not that the burgers are bad (they're not) but if I'm making the jaunt out to Culver's, I might as well go with something other than a cheeseburger.

They make a yummy steak sandwich.

Fast food doesn't have to market to the soccer moms and baby boomers anymore because they've got em safely in their pocket already. It's the Gen-Xers they're trying to scoop up now. With all the new-age health-food fads that teens and twentysomethings are picking up, it's no wonder they're adding Ebonics to their low-carb soyburgers and religion-friendly Fillet o' fishies.
