Gays and Lesbians have stolen the rainbow from kids! How can kids draw their little pictures with suns and fields and rainbows without being considered gay?

Poor kids....

Why are there so many songs about rainbows?
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, they're only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So I've been told and some choose to believe it
But I know they're wrong, wait and see
Someday we'll find it -- the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it
And look what it's done so far
What's so amazing that keeps us star gazing?
What so we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it -- the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

All of us under its spell;
We know that it's probably magic...

Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
It's probably one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I've got to be
Someday we'll find it -- the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

LOL gay people haven't stolen anything the rainbow was ALWAYS ours! But if the children want to buy the image rights, tell them to pool their lunch money and come talk to me.

No. It wasn't. And I'm still not sure why the gay rights movement chose to use the rainbow as our "symbol". That seems more of an anti-racism thing. You know, all the colors living together in harmony. No, we SHOULD have chosen Elton John. He's already at least twice as colourful and sparkly as a rainbow; he sings better; and while I dunno how many cool points gays and lesbians would get for sporting Sir Elton bumperstickers instead of rainbow pride flags on their SUVs, rainbows have never guest-starred on Will & Grace, now have they? Besides, he may be dog-ugly but he's better looking than most of our other gay icons. Have you seen Diana Ross lately? Moo!
