No. It wasn't. And I'm still not sure why the gay rights movement chose to use the rainbow as our "symbol". That seems more of an anti-racism thing. You know, all the colors living together in harmony. No, we SHOULD have chosen Elton John. He's already at least twice as colourful and sparkly as a rainbow; he sings better; and while I dunno how many cool points gays and lesbians would get for sporting Sir Elton bumperstickers instead of rainbow pride flags on their SUVs, rainbows have never guest-starred on
