Does anyone do these on a regular basis? We have a quick paper that we get everyday and I'm sitting at my desk trying to figure this thing out.

Sudoku Linky

I'm usually a word finder, easy crossword puzzle kind of person. This seems pretty challenging..heh..but that's probably not be saying much.

Sudoku is the newest fad for people that want to try and feel smart. My dad loves the fucking things, and he got me a book of them as a stocking stuffer for Christmas (which I promptly threw away).

I just don't understand the appeal. I work hard all day coding, the last thing I want to do is come home and **** myself off trying to fit the right numbers in the right boxes.

I just have more interesting ways to frustrate myself.

My parents are addicted to them. I've tried a couple of them. They range in difficulty and can be quite the pain in the ass.

I saw a news story about it some time ago and figured I'd see what all the hub-bub was about. I know what you mean though, I don't find it a bit relaxing...I'm already frustrated and have only filled in a couple of rows. Smiley: laugh

When my kids are getting out of hand, I whip out my trusty Sudoku book and promise them $10 if they can figure one out. Gives me some peace and quiet for about an hour. And since they haven't gotten one yet, I still have the 10 bucks. Smiley: sly

Relaxing? Who the hell does math puzzles to relax? My idea of relaxation is a Jacuzzi, a bottle of vino and hopefully an ******.

My Girlfriend swears by that game. When you spend 4 total hours commuting on a train, I guess anything is a welcome addition to listening to the sound of wind. I tried it once, not enough flashy pictures or sounds to hold my attention.

I'll give all my Star Wars guys to the first person who finds or creates an XXX rated Sudoku game.

Google fanatics, go.

Sudoku is alright, but I wouldn't choose it over a crossword puzzle. There's no flavor, no puns, no interesting factoids, just numbers and the cold logic that determines their placement.

I did a couple of them a few months ago. A friend at work gave me one. I did it so she gave me another one. I did that one, wadded it up and threw it away, told her I got tired of it. I could see a pattern forming: give the sodoku puzzle to the guy, get the answer, copy the answer, feel clever. I wasn't playing that game as there was no reward on the table...

On the other hand, she'll probably make a fine manager someday.
