hey guys,up until last summer, i played a character on the cerberus server named briner but i had to quit to get a job so i could try savin up money for school. well i was wondering if any of my old friends were still playing and still posting on this website, if you are, i hope to hear from ya. anyway i'm hoping to come back to the game and make new friends and also wanted to know how much has changed, if anything, since last july. And is there any way to play FF on a PS3 yet? thanks ahead of time for any info guys and im hopin to be back come monday :)

Hey Briner! I just came back a few weeks ago myself. As far as I can tell, not much has changed other than the addition of 2 new jobs (which you actually don't see many of) and campaign battles, which are a popular way to solo free exp.
If you come back I can probably get you in my LS (social onry, but large membership.)

Get it for the PC. $20 for the whole thing minus Wings of the Goddess, but you'll not need that for a while, I would think.

thanks for the info guys, i was in idahoans back before i left and if you get the chance, tell them i said hi. maybe i'll be able to see ya in game hopefully someday :)

Same old stuff happening here. I am still eeking through endgame stuff, crafting and whatnot.
WoTG is out now, but I have yet to explore it. My PS2 won't read disks anymore so I won't be able to install unless I get a new system. But I hear Campaign is pretty fun and an easy way to get some exp.
New jobs: Dancer and Scholar. Dancer seems to be pretty useful both as main and as a sub. I think the jury is still out on Scholar though.
In terms of current jobs, not much has changed. Jobs that equip 2-handed weapons got a nice buff (i.e. Sam, War, Drk, Drg, etc.) The damamge calculations were buffed (something like 2 strength = 1.5 Attack, 2 Dex = 1.5 Accuracy).
Unfortunately it remained the same for non 2-handed weapons (such as my lolMonk where 2 Str = 1 attack, and 2 Dex = 1 Accuracy, ...still).
SE balanced this out though: the critical hit calculation was changed as well (after the 2handed buff of course). The pDif cap went from 3.00 to 3.15. So, without having to explaing that: non-two-handers can hit harder than they did before. (Not entirely sure, but I think the max pDif for 2-handed weapons critical attacks stayed at 3.00.)
There has been MASS purging of RMT by SE. The economy has really balanced out in my opinion. Its not terribly difficult to make money, still just as time consuming, but not nearly as frustrating in my opinion.
Other than that, not a lot has changed. Make sure you send me a /tell when you get on.
