I am not familiar with cashmere thread as I am only lvl 70 cloth, but as I prepare to gather gil for my 3 damascene cloths, I can only imagine something similar with those... and ouch that'd hurt. Are Cashmere threads and Damascene cloth roughly same value? or which is more expensive?
Sorry for your luck banigaru, but I hope that does not determine your fate in Vana'diel.

Ulmo had a very unlucky super break losing 3x Cashmere of Bani's. It sounds like he did everything right but got royaly screwed in the outcome. The cashmere only drops off Vrtra fyi. If you're unfamiliar with Vrtra, go to the Bestiary then check King Rappere's Tomb.
I saw Banigaru in Jeuno tonight, bazaaring. /comfort (and, if it's in the logspam, I did a /comfort there, even though Bani was likely asleep).
